“I think this place has some of the best flavored lattes in the area. I have tried 3 or 4 of their unique flavors & been super impressed every time, they all have such different tastes but still can taste the coffee. Not too sweet or artificial. However, the staff loses them a star. Unless you are someone they know, they act like you are bothering them ordering.“

I had the egg and cheese sandwich On a Portuguese croissant which was delicious, perfectly cheesy and fluffy eggs on a decadent slightly sweet croissant with an oat milk latte which was delish. And we also had the Brazilian panini, great options for a hot pressed sandwich which hit the spot with a pink lemonade. Check this spot out! It’s a great spot and fairly priced!“

My only complaint here: the surroundings the environment is run down and looks dirty ...hardly appealing to new residents or potential customers coming thru the neighborhood would be easily turned off by the way the atmosphere is kept and the lack of nicely kept landscaping - esthetically investing in A major overhaul and some system of cleanliness of the drive thru area would be extremely helpful and ideal. If you go elsewhere you find this to be less an issue. “Very nice and quiet place with an outstanding menu and service. The food is awesome and delicious. It has coffee and sweet stations, a bar station, and a big dinner room for many customers.

My partner and I first started visiting Local in 2021, and it's been our go-to since. Despite having four coffee shops closer to home, none of them match the quality of Local. That's why it's become part of our daily routine. We can always count on them to get it right. Plus, we've become friendly with the owners and baristas. Everyone there is professional and genuinely kind and caring.

Known for their warm and personal service, Local offers the best coffee and espresso in the Montclair area. Their menu is thoughtfully curated, featuring delicious seasonal drinks without overwhelming choices. My personal favorite? A perfectly crafted cappuccino, the perfect start to my mornings.

Though it's a small shop, there's plenty of seating both inside and outdoors. It's always a good sign when there are regulars hanging out, chatting or working. Somehow there is always plenty of room for all to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to catch up with old friends or make new ones :)

This place seems super new, and I've started stopping by after my classes at NJIT since it's nearby and opens early enough. The baristas/workers have great customer service and are very kind and welcoming! The space is quite small as there's only 4-5 tables, but considering the location, it's good for grab-n-go customers.
The food I've had so far are the blueberry danish, almond croissants, and the classic sandwich. Everything tastes fresh and it's great that the pastries are toasted/hot when they serve it. The drink selection is amazing, and the drinks I've had so far are the best in the area! The drinks seem pretty consistent-tasting too!

“It was my first time there, and the lady who identified herself as the owner (Kelly) was very pleasant and helpful. She took her time explaining the drinks and their ingredients to me. I left there with 3 orders??‍♀️. The drinks were so good. Directions from Google were confusing. If you know the area, Highland Bubble Tea is on the opposite end of the bridge where Jersey Boys Pizza is located.
It can be tricky if you don't know the area. It's almost across from the new Performing Arts Center in Avenel! So, if you're looking at the PAC from Avenel St., in Avenel, Highland Bubble Tea is on your left side, across the street b4 going down the bridge. Lots of drinks and tasty snacks to enjoy. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the parking and the difficulty in finding it. Enjoy!!!“

“The guy that works there is amazing, patient and nice! By far the only employee that actually make sure he’s getting the orders correct. He’s amazing!

The owner made my drink a month or so ago & gave me the wrong bubbles I asked for regular and she ended up giving me brown sugar and said can I come back the next day she will give me a free one lol long story short she wasn’t there the next day because I bring my daughter to this location and she was too lazy to fix my drink the day she messed it up. I get she was overwhelmed by working alone and having a lot of people ordering but she has to do better as an OWNER! I have a business myself and it’s a lot of things I do not do because you have to be professional.“

The only reason I took off a star is because I ordered 2 mini chocolate cake desserts and received two mini carrot cakes instead. I honestly hate carrot cake so bad so it was disappointing because I did want something sweet. I also understand things happen. I would definitely recommend, hopefully next time I can try to the chocolate cake!“
