We have dined here many times before seeing various shows at the Papermill Playhouse, and our experience has always been delightful. It is a nice, quiet little restaurant with a big heart. Everyone there is so kind and attentive. The service is wonderful. Everyone from the host, our server, even the bartender greeted us with big smiles. The food was fabulous as well. The chef came to our table to chat and see how everything came out - fantastic! It’s great that they have a pre-fixed menu, you pick your appetizer, main course, and desserts, and it’s all themed based on the show, so clever! The steak was cooked to perfection. By the time dessert came out, I could barely eat another bite, but I did! :) Drinks are delicious as well. The manager is a nice guy too! He came around to see how everything was - impeccable. From the atmosphere, to the food, the drinks, the staff, it was truly a wonderful time. We are looking forward to many more pre-dinner shows at the Carriage House!

Reservation was made for 3 people for 5:30 for The Loft. When we arrived we were informed that The Loft was not open, we would have to sit downstairs in The Carriage House and have the price fix menu for $65 per person. Couldn't someone have called or texted me eith this info? We did not want the price fix. After arguing gently with the hostess she stated we could have both menus. We were seated at a table for four that was do tight to the table behind us that I could barely get into my seat because I was up against the woman at the table behind me. The “bar” menu was just ok. I ordered the personal pizza which was flavorless and dull. My daughter in law ordered a burger which looked decent. The best part of the meal was the French fries. Burger, tiny pizza, fries, 3 wines and 2 coffees - over $160. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Extremely tight tables, mediocre food, absolutely nothing impressive. There are too many options in town near the theatre that are far superior for dinner.

The themed prix fixe menu matching the current shows is always delicious, you can tell how much Chef Marra and his team care, and the drinks do not disappoint either. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The restaurant can feel a bit cramped since it is a smaller building, but it has a homey feeling.

Outstanding in every way. We had a 3 course dinner before seeing The Little Mermaid. Service was fantastic, interesting and varied menu choices, and the most delicious food. Couldn’t be better. It made for a memorable evening.

We had an outstanding 3 course dinner last night. Everything was wonderful, from great service, to the creative menu choices, and delicious food. I wish I could have the same meal again! It was a memorable evening, and one of the best meals I've had in a long time.

We had an absolutely amazing lunch. Our waitress was so attentive, adorable and sweet. The food was fantastic! I always love how the themes go with the productions.

Really enjoyed our meal before the theater. The menu offerings were delicious and there was a wide variety for different appetites. The restaurant will be missed during the time it will's be closed for renovations.

Brandon was our server and was cordially consistent through out our meal. The food was superb. Only downfall, the bathrooms in the Carriage House were out of service, and guests needed to walk over to the Playhouse. Fortunately it wasn't raining.

Giovanni has been our server for many years! We would be so disappointed if she was not here. We love the Carriage House - it is not just the food but how special they make you feel.

This was my first time eating here. We picked it mainly because it was so convenient to the theater. Never expected to be so disappointed in the food & atmosphere. We had the steak dish and the sauce on it seemed to be out of a packet for a beef dish not freshly made and the lobster potato salad was horrible. Definitely not worth the extra $10 they charge. Dessert was the same not up to expectations and everything was so overpriced which I wouldn’t mind if it was worth it. Needless to say, save your time & money and eat elsewhere.

The food is always plated beautifully and the meal is top notch and of the highest quality and taste. Hats off to the chef.

I took two of my grandchildren to see The Little Mermaid and wanted to make the outing special by starting with lunch. Since we've enjoyed meals at The Carriage House with friends before, I expected a similar experience. Unfortunately, this visit fell short. The children's menu was significantly overpriced, and the food didn't live up to expectations. The flatbread pizza, in particular, didn't appeal to my pizza-loving grandkids at all. The adult meals were underwhelming as well. I had the blueberry pistachio salad — the greens were wilted, and while the flavor was okay, it lacked freshness. The Sicilian sandwich had a decent filling, but the bread was stale and crumbled easily. There was no dessert included for the adults, and to top it off, lunch for four came to $212 — with no alcoholic beverages. I'm hoping things improve after their planned refresh, but unless the quality returns to what we've come to expect, I may have to reconsider future reservations.
