Food service is very slow. Had to remind waiter several times for our water and drinks. Food took a very long time and did not arrive at same time.

Arrived for our 7:30p reservation on time. The harried hostess told us that the wait would be at least a half hour despite our reservation due to a “ large party.” She asked if we wanted to sit at a table near the bar and we accepted and were handed menus. The table was near the front door so a constant cold breeze kept us uncomfortable. Right beside the table was where the crowd of all the people who were waiting were. Nope, byee. No idea what the food or drinks were like, we left.

This was the second time dining at Moonshine and I couldn't have been more disappointed. It was a Saturday night and crowded so obviously it was noisy and one might expect the service to be slow. Our server seemed nice and attentive at first but he basically ghosted us the majority of the evening. No water,no bread,no silverware. Drinks taking forever to arrive. My order was messed up but there was no point in even mentioning it. Had to literally beg for the check and he never even came by to see if we wanted coffee or dessert. The music is this horrible techno which is maddening. The first time I went it was jazzy and enjoyable. Food is good but not worth it.

This was a great experience it was beautiful inside. The music was really nice. The food was truly good. Everything me and my partner ordered was good.

Very good food but service was erratic. Very pleasant waitstaff but we were a group of 8. A few appetizers came out first, the others followed along with one of the main dishes. Then 2 people who ordered burgers got theirs before the rest of the main dishes came out.

We were excited to give this place a try before a show at papermill, sadly we were disappointed. We arrived at 4:50 for a 5pm reservation for 4, host said we could not be seated until 5, ok fine. We got seated 5 mins later to a room with plenty of tables avail.

Drinks took 20 mins to arrive, but were good.

Three of us got the prix fix, 4 course dinner. The calamari and shrimp was good, as was the caesar salad. Risotto was flavorful, but under cooked. The filets were cooked to temperature, but the plate was salty overall and the Duck à l'orange was tough.

The service definitely left something to be desired, once we had our entrees, that was the last we saw of our server. No one checked in on us, nada. It started getting so late for the 7pm curtain that I had to get up and locate anyone that could help us. We asked for 3 cheesecakes to go since time was tight and it was part of the prix fixe, but the only thing we got was a check. Oh well.

Staff could be more attentive and read the online reservation indicating that they had 2 birthdays and a 7pm show (show was also mentioned verbally).

Better luck next time!

Took my girlfriend here the atmosphere was very welcoming and scenic, we both ordered the filet mignon and it came out delicious perfectly cooked the way I asked, also ordered their guacamole which was absolutely the best I've ever had they have their own original take on it. The service was excellent the manager personally came over to ask how the food was which definitely showed their professionalism. Overall a great date night spot and we will most definitely be returning

The food and the vibe are great. The mussels are my absolute favorite! The lobster rolls are apparently so good my boyfriend ate mine before I could even try it.

Parking: There is a business lot available on nights and weekends to the side of the restaurant

I recently attended a holiday work event for Ferragamo at MoonShine and I can’t recommend this place enough. From start to finish, everything about the evening was exceptional.

The servers were attentive and professional, ensuring that our group had everything we needed without missing a beat. The manager, Sam, went above and beyond to make the evening special, offering excellent recommendations for both food and drinks. It’s rare to find such personalized and thoughtful service, and it really enhanced our experience.

As for the food—absolutely impeccable. Every dish was perfectly executed, from the appetizers to the main courses and desserts. The flavors were vibrant, the presentation was stunning, and the quality was evident in every bite. The dessert was the perfect end to the meal, allowing us to stay, relax, and fully enjoy the evening.

The ambiance of MoonShine is another highlight. The modern yet warm décor set the perfect tone for our Tuesday evening gathering. It felt festive and intimate, making it an ideal spot for a holiday event or any special occasion.

I give MoonShine a 10/10 and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Whether it’s for a work event, a casual dinner, or a night out, this restaurant hits all the marks—amazing food, incredible service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Disappointing and Underwhelming service! I visited the Moonshine establishment Tuesday 11/26 after work with friends and was completely taken aback by the lack of attention my party was given and unfortunately the less than satisfying dishes that came to our table. I was the only from my party that had visited Moonshine before and recommended it for our dinner based on my past experience which was completely opposite from our latter experience. Upon sitting and being greeted initial by Jules our waiter, we realized that there was a large birthday party being thrown upstairs which might have caused the delay and ultimately the neglect of my party of 3. We received entrees that we immediately communicated were not suitable and asked if we could exchange and our waiter went to speak with the chef and never returned. We then caught the attention of the manager who explained they would “exchange” our entrees but we would still be charged for the two dishes we were sending back. We attempted to find a solution that wouldn’t call for us paying for 4 entrees, however the manager was very curt in which he stated our $30 meal was the most expensive and they were unwilling to take the loss. We explained how unfortunate it was that he would not truly “exchange “ the meal and he continued to mention that the 2 meals alone was too much of a loss. I have never spent $300 on a meal where I was ignored by staff and unable to eat my entree in the same visit where we were told that “everyone who eats at The Standard, swears by the food at Moonshine being better.” As is by saying that statement was a way to discredit that fact the we were unable with our 2 entree meals in addition to our calamari being cold, soggy and beyond rubbery. Based on the managers approach at rectifying the situation and his nonchalant attitude I’m happy to say I will not be returning to this restaurant, please do better at with customer service.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Moonshine and can say it was one of the WORST, if not the worst, dining experiences I have had in my life. And I mean that. The service was slow on a Tuesday night and none of the drinks tasted quite right. The appetizers were very underwhelming and the manage REFUSED to swap out an entree that we did not like without charging us for both dishes - this is unheard of and incredibly ridiculous. My friends and I spent nearly $300 and left hungry and upset. This establishment is among the worst I have been to and that is not hyperbole. There are sooo many other great restaurants in the area worth your time and money. I would NOT recommend Moonshine.

I have not been to Moonshine in a while over 5 years but I recall enjoying the experience and going in the past many times. However, my first time back with 6 friends last night we had dinner. One positive is the waitress was responsive so no issue there. The drinks were good which was great. The biggest issue was the food quality and taste. I had the branzino. I it didn't taste like anything. I had it friend. My friend had it grilled and had the same experience. She also said she felt one of the pieces did not taste fresh and it didn't taste right. She let the waitress know. Another person ordered the lobster with paste. She stopped eating it and another person only at a very little and concluded there was no flavor and would take home to finish. This way she could make it have some flavor. I ordered short ribs to go and was told this is one of the best items on the menu. It was just ok. Again, I do not recall in the past having any issue with the food. Six of us did not enjoy our meals.

I honestly don’t know what happened here. We’ve eaten here before to rave reviews but this evening was terrible. The restaurant was not busy but the server managed to get a drink incorrect and served us a gnocchi dish with no gnocchi in it? The burger was overdone and the empanadas lacked distinctive flavor. Disappointed as I really loved my last experience there.
