Unless you want to digest pieces of broken glass in your smoothie, I would stay far away from Playa bowls here in Millburn. I ordered 3 of the same smoothies and when I took a sip, there was what I believed was ice that wasn’t blended well, so I spit it out and looked inside and discovered all three of my smoothies had small and big chunks of glass!!!! so I grabbed the smoothies from my coworkers who thankfully didn’t take a sip out of it yet and went back. I visited the store to purchase a gift card. They were having issues loading the card so I offered to return later. I called a few hours later and was told it was ok to return to purchase the card. I paid for the card but there was no receipt because they could not print one. I later contacted the headquarters and they responded and asked for the card number to check if it was loaded correctly. I normally love Playa Bowls, and I’m disappointed because this location is closer to my home but I’ll plan on visiting other stores from here on out.
I placed an order around 7:15 for pick up and received a notification that my order was ready at 7:30 I arrived at the store almost at 8 o’clock and an employee told me that she couldn’t find my order because they hadn’t made it yet.
