Horrible service. Staff keeps everything dirty. Not friendly. Constantly On the phone. Theres one skinny dude qho slammed my drink on the counter horrible attitude.

Nae was amazing though. Great prescence, drink tasted amazing and although overwhelmed Still smiled and

Worst experience ever. The manager, Jean, screamed and yelled at me in front of everyone, which was extremely embarrassing and unprofessional. We waited 45 minutes for our order, and her attitude was nasty the entire time.

What truly shocked me was watching her refuse to give water to an elderly man, even after I had already paid for my order. Zero compassion, zero respect, and zero customer service. Absolutely disgusting behavior from someone in a management position. I will never return.

I went into this Starbucks location to ask for an iced water, which is almost always free at any Starbucks lo, and it is usually given without having to wait in line because it is free. I went in two seperate times, and both times I was told no when I asked for the ice water, and that I'd have to stand in the long line at the register to ask for it. The second time I even bought something on the app for a mobile order and asked for it when I picked up my coffee, but still was told I'd have to wait in the line. If the water is free, I do not see why it can't be given out, especially because it could be an emergency reason why someone is quickly asking for water. Also, if I mobile ordered and asked for the water and was told I'd have to wait in line, this makes no sense because I didn't have to wait in line in the first place since it was a mobile order. The employees should be more willing to compromise on free water, especially because again, it could be an emergency!

I must say that I am disappointed in this location. It was my first time visiting the short hills mall and after shopping I needed a hot tea. I walked in and asked the employee about a specific tea but I couldn’t remember the name. He quickly answered we cant add any flavors to any hot teas. I referenced the menu board behind him and questioned was that the options available and he quickly answered yes. I walked out thinking this couldn’t be correct. After locating what I was looking for online I walked back in to order it and he assisted me again. Dumb founded he acknowledged my tea option and quickly dismissed me to wait in the waiting area as I stood there waiting for my receipt. NOT a starbuck experience

Poor experience. I worked at starbucks over 10 years ago so I know a thing or two about customer experience. Young kid fought with me over the difference between a drip coffee and an Americano at the register. I wanted a drip coffee but their machine was being cleaned/turned off for the night. He just said, no I don’t have it. Ok so offer a different option, I had to suggest an Americano because that’s what Starbucks defaults to when their drip machines are off but I’ve never been forced to pay the difference in price (Americano is slighter here) because of THEIR INCONVENIENCE. I walked out. It’s a principal thing. Not a price thing. This location will inherently always do well to the class of clientele here but this barista had no business fighting with the customer. Bunch of young kids entitled working here.

The workers are rude. If you mobile and it says it’s ready, there reply is probably didn’t get to it yet. I’ve ordered many times from this particular location and it’s always a hassle getting your order, but the rudeness is disrespectful. You need to revamp the workers.

On Friday, September 19, 2025, I visited this location to purchase a drink. While waiting, I observed other customers receiving their orders. After approximately 15 minutes, I approached the counter and asked the cashier about the wait time. The cashier informed me that their machine was not operational, so I requested a refund. By this point, 18 minutes had elapsed. The manager explained that refunds were not permitted and offered a gift card instead, which I declined. Shortly after, the cashier advised me that the machine was functioning again. As I continued to wait for my order, the manager made a personal remark regarding my demeanor rather than addressing the extended delay. Given the handling of this situation, I do not plan to return to this location.

My dad and I went into Starbucks around 7:40 PM, about 20 minutes before closing, after running a quick errand. To our surprise, we were almost refused service by one employee who was noticeably rude. We were even told that all the machines had already been cleaned and shut down, despite the store still being open. One staff member was audibly mumbling under their breath about why we were in line, which was unprofessional and uncomfortable.

If an establishment advertises specific hours, customers should be able to receive service until closing time. This experience was disappointing and not what I expect from Starbucks.

Do not come to this Starbucks! We ordered two drinks and our cold brew ended up tasting watered down. When we requested a remake the staff member rolled her eyes and rudely said we took too long to pick it up even though we picked it up 5 minutes from when we placed the order. She brought the drink over to the other staff member who was making the drinks and they both glared at us before making the new drink. It was very odd behavior to be honest. When we got the remade drink it was once again watered down but due to the rude response we didn’t feel comfortable asking for a refund or a different drink. I would not recommend ordering from this Starbucks. There are plenty of other coffee shops in the area!

These two workers were probably the most disrespectful people I’ve ever encountered. The service is always bad when I go there, but today these two made me never want to step into any Starbucks location ever again. I kindly asked the barista to remake my drink, she rolled her eyes and started making other drinks , i patiently waited because I didn’t want to make a fuss. After she gave me the new drink, it still wasn’t good but I smiled and said thankyou anyway, to that, the other barista yelled for me to come back in and throw out the cap from the old drink. I didn’t realize I left it on the counter, however , he demanded I throw it out and I said “don’t talk to me like that, who is your manger” and he proceeded to roll his eyes and walk away. This staff is by far the worse staff ive ever encountered. I go to this location daily because I unfortunately work here and it’s the only Starbucks I can go to, whenever I pick up my drinks, most of the time it taste horrible, I never complain and still say thankyou. No one ever says you’re welcome or just gives professional / nice service. I will not be returning to this location ever again. and based on the other reviews on here I am not the only one who feels this way, sadly this location will have the worse reputation. . DO BETTER STARBUCKS !!
