Bites & Bowls cafe

I have ordered the chicken tikka empanadas and other types of empanadas from the Bites and Bowls food truck at least twenty times over the past years, and I can genuinely say they are top quality every time. Other empanadas from food trucks in the area are cold in the middle or lack filling. Bites and Bowls is fairly priced, their empanadas are fresh and hot all the way through, and they are generously sized and filled. The gentleman running the truck is always courteous and serves orders with a smile.

I wish the food truck went to more locations. It is worth standing in line for these empanadas. Simply superb, 10/10.

The cafe is inside an office building and can be difficult to find for someone who does not work in that building. The food was good, however, the advertising online confused me because it looks like it was Mexican food (which they have) but they have mostly other items, like salads, sandwiches, and more. The menu and marketing is definitely a little confusing but overall good food and prices.

First it’s difficult to get to, had to get buzzed into a parking garage, and then buzzed into the tower through intercom with security. But worse of all they burnt the empanadas, they taste burnt, now I’m stopping somewhere else to buy lunch after all the hassle to get them.

This place is so awesome by far a delicious combination fusion, it's a mixture of Guyanese meets Spanish. Very flavorful I had the J*** Chicken Empanadas before and the Fusion Bowl. I only had this 2x not even disappointed. I plan trying other food from here..? Great food for a great price plus I like this cute little area here in Milltown.

Once in a while you wish there was 6 stars. The food was amazing, the story of acquiring it equally so. Did a pit stop walking my dog in the park behind the restaurant. Came upon the food truck, which was being parked after an event. I asked the gentleman if the main restaurant was open, he said they’d be opening in 30 min, as they’d just finished an event. He asked what I was interested in, I said I’d love to try a bowl, but was traveling and needed to continue on. He offered to go make a bowl and bring it out to me. Many thanks!

Chicken and Florentine empanadas are amazing!!!

The food is absolutely amazing! So fresh! The empanadas are delicious…my personal favorite is the cauliflower! Had a chicken sandwich from the truck one day…the pad Thai…one thing is better then the next! On top of it, the owner is just the nicest man! If you haven’t tried it your missing out!

Used to be a regular customer.The chicken in the empanadas has lost its chunkiness/ quality it now tastes canned.They also no longer show up at the highland park market. :( would give 5 stars because I like the guy and want to support but seems he is selling out :(

I've ordered from here a decent amount of times already and the quality of their empanadas and bowls have always been consistently great. While not all of their empanada flavors are on the same level, there is an interesting variety of flavors from spicy to sweet to savory. I highly recommend their chicken tikka empanadas and their paneer tikka masala bowls.

Their empanadas are hands down the best. They're soo flavorful!! Careful of the j*** chicken cause it squirts out on you! But so delicious! Don't need sauce because it's so flavorful!!

The place is very good. Takeout was really easy and each plate is made fresh. The best place to eat in town.

Best empanadas ever! Also love the chipotle quesadillas. The owner is so kind and really cares about his customers. Highly recommend!!!
