where do i start lol, the food was amazing, fish was crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. the batter had all the flavor, the potato salad was exactly how i like them, sweet yams was just perfect and the mac was great! me and my mans overall rating 10/10 we will be back again!!!

I ordered the chicken wings and greens with potatoes salad.Chicken was flavorless, greens tasted as though they just came out of a can, potatoes was all right could have used more seasoning. I've eaten at this establishment before and the food was good. Not sure why it's so "soul food" less now. However for $20 a platter I expected more full flavored food. I will not be eating at this establishment again unfortunately due to prices for such bad quality of food.

Ordered a whitings fish platter and it was not “soul food” first the fish had hell of little bones in it, couldn’t even eat it comfortably. My 2 sides, which was yams and Mac & cheese were also not right. They’re adding too much vanilla extract in the yams where as tho that’s all u taste! The Mac & cheese is more like butter noodles’ you dnt see ANY CHEESE or TASTE IT! Which was the most disappointing! They either need new cooks or the owner isn’t watching who makes the food. Terrible

Just a random choice from Google. Best food I've had in a long time! Prices are amazingly reasonable. I got Heavy Hitter Porkchops with baked mac and cabbage. My wife got snowcrab platter and my MIL got fried shrimp platter. Absolutely NOTHING was not AMAZING! Small town, Mom & Pop place with the best food! Why are you still reading? Go! Go now!

Let me start by saying the food is decent. Where the restaurant is located is far from decent. Drunks everywhere!!!As far getting food on time, def needs to be worked on. I had to be at work by 640p(20 min ride to) I placed my order on seamless at 318pm for a 545p pick up.. gave them 15 min extra arrived at 6p. To be told it was going to be a another 7 min.. I waited to 615 I’m asking how much longer I have to be to work only to be told another 4-5 more min. Waited to 624 until I walked out. Contacted seamless when I went to work. they then called the restaurant for them to tell seamless it was going to be another 8 more min.. so I got to work and the food still wasn’t done. 28 min went by.. unacceptable.. there’s a reason why people place orders ahead of time.

Ordered Take Out Through Door Dash! Dasher had 3 deliveries & decided to leave because my order was not ready. The Owner or Worker Called Me Looking For The Dasher, I contacted Door Dash Then they offered to send a New Dasher which will take another 20-30 when my order was now ready. They offered to deliver my food to me, but the new Dasher came just in time to save that ⛽.... ☺️ Keep in mind their Fresh Chicken & Seafood Platter is ??❤️....

I've been searching for a good seafood and or soul food spot in South Jersey. I'm still not sure if I found it. Everybody's prices of taking a jump these days so to get me to come back you really have to come with it! Overall my experience was just okay. The whiting was bland, the cabbage was okay, the collard greens were very salty. (I like salty but it was too much for the average person.) The staff was nice but a little too casual for my bourgeois taste. Still I say go try it for yourself.Parking: I think they share a parking lot with a liquor store that is adjacent to their property. Plenty of spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps, only a ramp.

Tried some of the food that someone had gotten from Soul of the Sea located at 622 North High Street. I am one who likes to try different types and style foods. I have had Soul Food before and this wasn't bad. I actually thought about going into this establishment, but when I attempted to park, I saw nothing but alcoholics hanging out back of the business. People asking for change as they belched and drank away their money. It appeared someone from Soul of Sea actually got porta potty's and placed it out back for the people to use and cleared the area for them to camp out and relax. This to me is not what I as a business owner would want to show those who might want to try my food. This was nasty to see, and quite frankly, I wouldn't enter this place if you paid me to. If they do this for pan handlers, alcoholics and area Zombies, then what's the kitchen look like....hmmmm

I had their oxtail platter with mashed potatoes and cabbage. Oxtails we’re so tender and flavorful! Mashed tasted instant and cabbage could’ve been cooked down more and chopped smaller.
