I had the whiting with collard greens and cabbage, plus two more whiting with fries—and let me tell you, everything was absolutely delicious! The fish was perfectly seasoned and fried just right, and the sides had that real home-cooked flavor you can’t fake. The collards and cabbage were tender and flavorful, like something straight out of Grandma’s kitchen.

I ate here for the first time about three weeks ago. The owner was very friendly and it’s obvious that there are many returning customers. I ordered three takeout orders and an order of wings. The sides were very nicely done, but a bit small. The mac & cheese was quite tasty. Everyone in my family found that the meats/fish were entirely too salty, alarmingly so. For that reason, my family has requested that we continue looking for a good soul food spot.

Found this restaurant on google while while visiting from Dallas Texas. The food was GREAT. Fresh and large portions. I had the 2 piece chicken with MacM cheese and rice &beans. Definitely worth it!
This place was great. Awesome food and the guy manning the register was friendly and sociable. Recommend. Makes food to order, so expect to wait or order ahead.

I've never been to the restaurant but I was at an event on Saturday 5/17 that was catered by Dootsie's. Oh my God the food was amazing. I made a plate to take home. I had the rasta pasta , macaroni and cheese, yams, and the fried chicken wings. EVERYTHING was soooo good. The mac and cheese had a unique taste *wish I had more)! The chicken was well seasoned and cooked to perfection and I ate this food 2 days later. Just imagine if I had a chance to eat it fresh! I live all the way in north jersey but I will definitely try to make it down near to the restaurant and you should too. I recommend everything that I just named.
