The place is supposed to open at noon. They actually showed up at 1:22pm. We were the only ones in the place (not surprising). The place seemed musty and dirty. We got burgers, which were okay, but nothing special. I won't go back again and will be surprised if the place stays open much longer.

Went to see an Elvis Impersonator tonight which was fantastic. The food and drink service was horrible and the owner didn’t seem to care. They said they were short staffed because 2 people called out. I don’t blame the waitress as she was the only one for a room of about 100 plus people she had to do everything including taking care of the bar. The owners should be ashamed themselves for letting that happen. Waited over 1hour for food and drinks.

The owner was rude and obnoxious. The waitress was not very pleasant and slow getting to our table to take our orders. The place was practically empty and now we know why. Beware!!!

Service is horrible. It's get worst every year. We come her for a club holiday dinner. You get a print out that is being reused, not laminated or anything, all different foot stains on if. Server was all over the place. Low on bread, low on butter, no parmesan cheese, you ask for water, forget that. Getting a second drink is whenever she feels like it. Checks come in for the whole table when I asked for separate check. When I asked for it again I'm told "you did not ask for it, you can all pay with one credit card and figure it out yourself".... It's was 19 of us, 9 separate checks. We did not rush her at no point, everyone placed their order in orderly manner. Price on the check are marked up 1$ from the prices on the menu.... Oh sure and expect me to go out of my way to tip you. We were the only table in this place no one else is here. Water was at the bar next to her manager ( or might be the owner). My advice I guess kids please don't do drugs. 1 star is the lowest you can give, but it's more like -3.

Worst meal ever and at a high price. Ordered the flounder franchise and it came out first ...then the mashed potatoes 10 minutes later...no vegetables. The mashed potatoes were from a box and tasted like the box. The price on the menu was $24 and when we went to pay they told us all the items had gone up by 2-5 dollars! I thought that was illegal! The ice tea was from a weak powder mix. The waitress was worn out and very grumpy...not one pleasantry or smile. Really Really bad! It is cozy inside but DO NOT go for the food. You are way better off at a diner and it will be priced much more appropriately.
Don’t go here if you have melanin in ur skin. The bartenders are old, slow and racist. The bands are dope but I’m very disappointed to see people that are still this way in 2022.

Garvey’s has been a landmark of Monroe, NJ for many decades. A family run business that is inviting and admired by many. They continue to have live entertainment,7 car shows and karaoke. Some of the best bands in the world have visited and played at Garveys. You don’t believe me? You can get a cold drink or two and see all of the memorabilia showing the bands and musicians who have played here.
