This was likely the best accidental find I've had for quite a bit. The Palak Paneer and Fish Biryani were as good as the best of my 69 years. Took home some Aloo Puffs which reheated fine in a microwave. Check them out, they're doing it right.

Very bad food taste.
Need to work on the cleanliness aspect as well. We ordered 4 different things and all taste bad. Mango lassi supposed to be sweet, this place has a tangy flavored lassi.
Total waste of money.

We ordered cake for our daughter's 6th birthday. It was just so beautiful to look at and was done exactly the way we wanted. Cake was super yummy and our guests loved it❤️ Big thanks to the chef🙌

This is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to! The food is so flavorful and tastes just like something you’d get in India. The Paneer Tikka Massala was creamy and delicious, and the biryani was perfectly spiced. The naan is also baked fresh, I ordered many extra! :)
Make sure you save room for dessert when you visit. I tried the gulab jamun and rasmalai, and both were amazing. Their cakes also have unique Indian fusion flavors that were too good.
The staff here are also super friendly and made sure we felt right at home. It’s such a cozy place, and you can tell they really care about the food and the customers.
If you’re in Plainsboro and craving Indian food, I can’t recommend this place enough. You’ll definitely want to come back for more!

I ordered chicken fried. It is the worst chicken fried rice I ever ate in my life.It is tasting like rice filled with all sauce and ginger garlic paste …. It will be my last order in Hot Breads
Looks like it has change in management or rebranded.
The food has really changed and improved a lot. The cake slices taste fresh and delicious. The puff pasteries were good too. Toasty and crunchy.
If you didn’t like hot breads like me, I’d visit them again now and give them another chance.
I’ll go back again to try out their menu options.

Hot Breads, now rebranded as Currys & Cakes, offers a unique culinary experience that blends traditional Indian flavors with modern bakery delights. This establishment has successfully transformed itself, expanding its menu while maintaining its commitment to quality.
**Food Quality: *⭐⭐⭐⭐*
The quality of both the savory and sweet offerings is commendable. The curries are flavorful and authentic, while the cakes and pastries are fresh and well-crafted.
**Menu Variety: *⭐⭐⭐*
The expanded menu is a standout feature. From traditional Indian curries to contemporary cakes and pastries, there's something for every palate. The fusion items, like curry puffs are particularly interesting. Daily special items seems to be more interesting.
**Taste: *⭐⭐⭐⭐*
Flavors are bold and satisfying. Some dishes could use fine-tuning, but overall, the taste is very good. Add some extra spice to the Biryani's to feel more authentic.
**Freshness: *⭐⭐⭐⭐*
Everything tastes freshly made. The breads and pastries have that just-baked quality, and the curries taste like they're made in small batches.
**Atmosphere: *⭐⭐⭐*
The space is clean and functional, but could benefit from more ambiance. It's suitable for quick meals or takeout, small space for dining, capable for leisure dining.
**Service: *⭐⭐⭐⭐*
Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Service is generally quick, which is great for those on the go.
**Value:* ⭐⭐⭐⭐*
Prices are reasonable given the quality and portion sizes.
**Overall: *⭐⭐⭐⭐*
Hot Breads - Now Currys & Cakes successfully bridges the gap between a traditional Indian eatery and a modern bakery. It's a great spot for those craving authentic Indian flavors alongside sweet treats.

Delicious Indian cuisine and bakery. The vegetarian tikka masala was great. Also highly recommend the gulab jamun, vegetarian samosa (pastry), and their mango lassi. Also the garlic naan was tasty, it was baked to perfection in the tandoori oven. They also feature a lunch buffet with a variety of offerings.
