I visited at 10:30 PM on a Friday, but it was closed. Both Google and the sign outside said they close at 11 PM, so there seems to be a discrepancy with the hours. It would be helpful to update the business hours to avoid confusion.

I recently visited Benvenuti Montclair and ordered two iced coffees, which were listed at $12 total. However, when I checked my bank statement later, I noticed I was charged $18. That’s a $6 difference — which clearly suggests a tip was added to my bill without my knowledge or authorization.
I did not approve any tip, and there was no communication about this charge at the time of purchase. This is unacceptable and feels dishonest. Tips should always be optional and transparent — not something quietly added after the fact.

Was excited for gelato but only had about 3 flavors to choose from (vanilla, chocolate and hazelnut) and some sorbets. I asked if I could at least have 2 flavors in a small (as 99% of gelato places do) and was told no, I thought that was reasonable esp due to the lack of flavor options. Ended up only getting a cookie which was good, but not what I came for.

Awesome Gelato and Outstanding Service every time! I had the Affogato paired with the Hazelnut Gelato, and it was absolutely amazing. The Sorbetto Was Delicious!! The Cookies are also Good and make a great treat on the side. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth!

Absolutely best ice cream I’ve had in the USA. Rich, creamy and simply just delicious. I’ve got the medium cup with one scoop of chocolate sorbet and a scoop of the hazelnut gelato. The combination is just divine tasting like nutella. My boyfriend got the espresso stracciatella which was also very good. We will absolutely come again and I believe you can buy a pint of it also, might do that and have a treat at home 👀 Please go and try.
The salted caramel was great! The staff were really friendly and helpful too!

Perfect little ice cream spot if you’re walking through Montclair or on your way back from having dinner. Gelato is made on site which is kind of relaxing to watch if you have the time. Scoop sizes are not overwhelming at all which was nice since it’s a soft ice cream to begin with. You don’t feel forced to have to start eating it as soon as you get it in fear of it melting. Staff is super friendly too.
