The attitude of the woman behind the counter is ridiculous/atrocious, especially when asking questions. First she acts like she is doing you a favor by taking your order. Secondly, when I informed her that the reason for me asking a question, was because the last time I ordered soup from there THE SOUP WAS GIVEN TO ME COLD, she acted like that was part of the plan. If you are a person who works extremely hard for your money, the last thing you want is a funky attitude, and cold food, when you go to spend your money. I would rather drive 15 minutes away to Bloomfield, or East Orange, for some reason they seemed to have much better service.

I ordered 2 large rice and peas with stewed beef, however, I received 2 medium portions instead. This is unacceptable, and I will not be ordering from this establishment again.

I originally looked at the menu for the large oxtail and large goat. I made sure to look at the prices before going in. The goat was $18 and the oxtail was $23. An hour after calling in my order and picking it up, they still said it was not done. I had to wait a couple more minutes before getting my food and paying. Cool. But when I finally went to pay, they charged me $22 for the goat and $28 for the oxtail. If you're going to upcharge your customers, don't keep the same prices posted and explain the price difference beforehand. It was unprofessional of you not to explain that ahead of time.

You totally cheated my wife and me out of the $25. I really don’t want to leave a bad review for a restaurant but you made it impossible for me to ignore cause remember you did this I didn’t you did! 1st you hit the order wrong I ordered king fish and you gave me snapper I told you or your wife who ever she is that I ordered king fish but I took the snapper and paid the addition $7 it cost above the king fish. But I was not upset about that. But then you gave us had the fish you chat the middle section out of the fish 🐟 and gave my wife the head and the tail and thought she would not notice! Not only did you cause tension because of the king fish mess up but then you stole half the fish! Your greed cost you a customer for life. It’s a damn shame!

Not tasty and what was supposed to be a “large” platter of oxtail was actually a small portion. I was very surprised at the portion. The platter was mostly rice and plantain. No flavor at all. The wait time was too long for pick up also.

I made a GrubHub order the first time the food was so delicious. We immediately ordered again however, the next time that we order, we ordered a jerk chicken platter and we ordered oxtails. The jerk chicken was un edible and don’t get me wrong. We are used to spicy so that was not the issue and I got so little oxtails for $25 that is ridiculous so my son being a diabetic is not supposed to be right so the only thing he could eat was the rice and everything else went in the garbage is It’s too expensive to be
