I love it here. I come here often and absolutely love there pastelon, sorullos and alcapurias. Absolutely recommend.

Food was pretty good, but service was not good, our order was forgotten and a table that was seated after us left before we even had our food. That’s fine, mistakes happen. But to include a gratuity on the bill and also ask for a tip on top of that? Ridiculous. We won’t return.

I honestly took two bites of my meal then said to my friend “We’re coming back here.” So flavorful, so delicious. Nice presentation. The restaurant itself is very simply decorated. Next time I visit Montclair I’m coming back! Plus it was BYOB!

The food was amazing, truly was. Good portion, amazing taste. The environment was also good. I heard the restaurant will be closing soon, and I am said to hear this. But I will be going back soon, before they close. I just hope they do come back, larger and better.

The food is amazing, but I think you need to look into getting a new coffee/espresso machine. Even when you tell me you making it fresh I receive a lukewarm cup of coffee. If I wanted an iced coffee I would have ask for one.

Is rare to find a good upscale Latin restaurant in NJ that caters to vegetarians without some weird mix and that is owned by a Latino. Most of the them, are own by non-latinos which makes my heart feel a bit sad. As a vegetarian or vegan is hard for me to find Latino restaurants that cater to my diet. Is even worse when it comes to Puerto Rican restaurant. My only option to get a vegetarian or vegan mofongo had to be all the way in Harlem. , NY. This is where I have been able to find vegetarian-friendly menu with Puerto Rican dishes besides my own kitchen. There are a few dishes that I do not make at home is pasteles, pastelon, and mofongo, for one person is just too much so I treat these as treats. I have tried the vegan version of the tri-fongo and the regular mofongo, let me tell you, it hits the spot. Is full of flavor and authenticity. There is no need for me to go all the way to NY to get a taste of home. As for the drinks, is hard to pick with soursop and guava. Both are delicious! Have come here on multiple occasions. Don't let the no liquor license fool you that is not a good restaurant. Is a good restaurant that provides good service and food. I highly recommended and will come back again in the future.

This restaurant was suggested by my bf's co-worker so we decided to try it out for his birthday. We were pleasantly surprised. The juice was freshly squeezed/prepared. The paella was amazing and fresh. The salmon dish was the fish of the day and was also fresh and very good. Kiara was an amazing hostess/waitress, very accommodating, and very friendly. The prices were a little higher than we expected (1 appetizer + 2 entrees + 2 drinks = $90) but we both said we would consider returning.

Hmmmm, the food I had wasn’t all that great, but I’m going to leave that up to my personal taste and not necessarily the quality. I’m specially talking about my entrée which was the Pastelon - a plantain lasagna essentially. I’m a big fan of plantains, but this was a bit yucky. The plantains didn’t tasted underripe and the rice that came with it gave the dish an odd combo of textures that I didn’t enjoy. Adding cheese on top just topped off this weird dish. My mother had the Octopus Salad which she said was also pretty weird I will say the appetizers we had were pretty good, the ambiance was nice, and our server was great. To end the meal we had the Tembleque coconut pudding which was just okay. I would recommend the Sweet Corn Fritters (Sorullitos), Beef & Sweet Plantain + Three Cheese Baked Empanadas, and the coffee were all worth it. Not sure I would come back, I just think it wasn’t for me.

A cozy place in Montclair with a great menu that is reasonably priced. I recommend the Candela Benedict made with yuca arepas, short ribs, poached egg and hollandaise sauce. For appetizer, the Rellenos de Papa which is fried, mashed potato balls with ground meat filling. Staff were friendly, place was big enough to allow for social distancing & we weren’t rushed at all. I’ll definitely be back!

Quick stop at this small and quaint restaurant before heading home. We sat outside and the service was immediate, very attentive, friendly and informed. Will return.

Aside from the great tasting Puerto Rican food, the staff is super attentive. Thank you for your hospitality

Their prices are ridiculous to the portion of food, and to know that they are representing the puertorican community it was embarrassing. First and last time we go there.
