We love a well-designed Indian restaurant. This one looks great, and is very comfortable with excellent service. I even enjoyed their digital menu which opens like a book. We had 3 small plates, and two of them were good. The third was a very succulent chicken, but the sauce that directs the flavor was off. That was disappointing. We will try it again, and explore more options.
Great place -- cuisine, service, ambience. Cannot recommend highly enough. My favorite Montclair restaurant and there are many great ones.
Have eaten here multiple times and food is consistently delicious and perfectly flavored and spiced. There's heat and flavor in the dishes and you can go milder or hotter, but expect to feel it and taste it. This place is the real deal and outpaces any local Indian restaurants I have tried. Even better than some meals I have had in India! Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity.
My family and I went for dinner last night and really enjoyed it. The Butter Chicken (Chicken Tikka Masala) was the standout — rich and perfectly seasoned. The Methi Chicken had a great curry flavor, and the Homestyle Chicken was loaded with spices and had a nice depth to it. Our server was friendly, quick, and gave solid recommendations for us as first-timers. The music was a bit loud but still added to the vibe, and the ceiling décor with all the greenery gave the space a cool, jungle-like feel. Overall, a great dinner and we'd definitely return.
We had a wonderful time and the food was very good. The servers were great. The added in tip which we were NOT told about was rude.
The naan were very good. The entree very basic. Nothing that really wowed me. I went by the reviews I saw but turns out they're all as a bonus to get a free dessert.
Everything about this place was wonderful. The food, the service, the ambience, and for an excellent value. I've been eating Indian food for 20 years and this was among the best Indian food I've ever had.
We had office Diwali lunch for the people of Indian diaspora this year at this restaurant at the vibrant Montclair town. The place is located just close to intersection of Bloomfield Avenue & NorthFullerton Avenue. Parking lot with paid parking is available in walking distance from this place . For starters Kale pakora ( fritter) was excellent. Same with chicken malai tikka , it was excellent, very soft and well done, very juicy. For main dishes dal Bukhara was good , veg kohlapuri was very sweet, it may trigger blood sugar for pre diabetic or diabetes people. I recommend It should be little less sweeter. Goat curry was with all bones less meat . The goat curry was overpriced! My vegetarian coworkers can give reviews about dahi kabab and paneer lababdar they ! The desert was very decorated! Over all good ambience , good service ( little slow ) for a big team !

My friend and I dined here about a week ago and the experience was not pleasant. The food was good, however, the service felt extremely rushed. We were there for about an 1hr or so- less than 1 hr 1/5. The server came by every 2 mins to see if we were done. It was a small table, I looked around and people who were there before us, weren’t being rushed the same way.
if there is a limit to seating, I think you should let your guess know ahead of time.

We had an excellent dinner experience! Food, service and ambiance were amazing. Highly recommend Dhamaal!
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G flavors! We were blown away with how incredible the food was. We had some small plates and some big plates, and the naan bread was the best we've ever had. It's byob and there is no corkage fee! When it was all said and done the bill for two people was surprisingly reasonable. We had to do a double take. Will be going back again and again!
Food is very delicious and entree portions are large enough that they're easily shareable.
We had Kale Pakora and Paneer Pinwheels for appetizers - both excellent. For entrees, we had Afghani Lamb Chops - excellent, and Duck Pepper Fry - very good. The mango Kulfi was excellent and Citafel Crumble was good. The entree portions are medium sized.
