I bought haddock here and when I got it home unwrapped it it smelled..I cooked and took bite and threw in garbage..Don't keep fish in case for longer than a day! we don't know how long it's been sitting there! I'll never buy fish there again. Throw it OUT after a day! Don't you care if your customers get sick? It's worth it to go down to Portuguese section in Newark on ferry street to great fish markets..always fresh and delicious. Whole Foods is NOT the place for fish!

The price tags in store are REGULARLY scamming. I bought one item a few days in a row because I thought I was getting a decent deal on it. I should've checked my receipt because it turns out I was paying almost twice as much as it says in store (I even double checked the UPC code)SCAM! I wish I could get my money back

Small but efficient. Parking needs some improvement but nice store. Fresh produce and consistent tasting fruits. Much better than bigger grocery stores such as ShopRite

Been coming here a while out of convenience and usually buy the 365 private brand stuff as it's cheaper and good quality, but pretty consistently now they are out of stock on their 365 brand cheerios, peanut butter, pasture raised eggs, frozen broccoli, blueberries & Brussels sprouts. These are like basic items. Not many other reasonably priced alternatives when these are out. And doesn't appear to carry Diamond crystal kosher salt anymore? To me, that's like the only actual cooking salt worth using. The store has a lot of empty shelves in some areas and seems to have trouble restocking and keeping up with inventory. I hate learning a new supermarket layout but probably gonna switch to west orange.

This "whole" store needs to be re-vamped. I hate coming here. I rarely do accept when I'm left with no other choice for a certain product. Today I have decided to just never come back and to do without or go to another store. I accept the small space. I accept the variety of foods and goods. Every bad experience I've ever had here has been directly related with employees. Coming here is more like a Foodtown experience while paying whole food prices. For example, I just left the Montclair, New Jersey location and had all of my food rung up and thrown in a pile at the end of the register. The cashier had ignored me the entire time even when I tried making polite conversation and had begun ringing up the next person while I struggled to bag my food. The only communication we had was her non-verbal cues that she was annoyed I was in her way while she was "just trying to do her job." Why don't the cashiers help you bag? Or wait until you've cleared the register? Or offer assistance in another capacity?

Unfortunately I bought squid and shrimps for Christmas Eve and I have to through both to the garbage, the product was pass and in bad conditions. It was a woman cleaning the shrimps for me inn the fish shop. very unprofessional, i don't know why Whole Foods is doing this, it's supposed to be a good supermarket. Maybe not. I spoke with the fish manager in Montlair nj but no answer, not a good answer, only I am sorry. But I was with no dinner at the table in Christmas Eve! Maybe I have to switch supermarket

Idk what it is about this location but I don't enjoy it i rather go to the other ones. The location and the format of the store is so odd. It's like they try and cram everything in a small space so everything is squished chaotic and hard to find anything.

Not enough cashiers. It's Monday at 3:20. And everyone is being forced to wait insanely long lines. I've been in line for a solid 10 minutes and I'm far from the checkout. Not fair or right for Alitalia customers. And only ONE Person on the express line. We're here to spend money - what's the deal????

Very good store. Sometimes they have employee issues. A girl at the coffee counter was very late coming back from her break, but I got a free cup of coffee out of it! The deli people play a little game where they pretend they don't see you and wait until one person can't take it anymore and finally cracks and says, "How can I help you?" However, most employees will walk you over to particular item if you can't find it. The food is great!!!! Produce is excellent. The only thing I will never ever get used to is...no diet coke! Very stupid.

Always organized and fully stocked

Frequently, I would purchase cooked food. The food is no longer good. Chicken is dry and salmon over cooked. The salmon burgers in the seafood section are salty. I only purchase coffee, fresh vegetables, orchids, goddess dressing, and cotton candy grapes.

I've had the worst experience with getting my gift card resolved. Its the game where the store people tell me the phone people can help and then the phone people tell me the store people can help. 4 different efforts to resolve and no one can own the responsibility. WHY DO I HAVE TO WORK SO HARD TO SPEND MY MONEY HERE

Parking sucks here but I've changed my mind about this location. They are very understaffed and the woman at customer service checked me out. They always have everything I need too versus the larger West Orange location which sucks.

New to the area and stopped in. This store is very small in comparison with other WFMs in the general area. Perhaps because of its limited size, it emphasizes house brands. WFM isn't cheap, but the prices here are even higher than similar stores. This may be because of its location in the commercial area of Montclair rather than in true "suburbia." There is free parking - a plus in Montclair. Overall, it's a sort of upscale convenience store for well-heeled locals who don't want to drive 20 minutes to a larger WFM or another supermarket.

Awful layout. Hasn't changed in 20 years. Even worse than the terrible renovated Shoprite on broad street layout. Customers cut in front of you in the no rhyme or reason check out lines. Consumers are slow and confused when not cutting you in line. Poorly stocked, meager selection.
