I have never been disappointed here! I absolutely love Egans. I had the chicken curry today, which was a special, and it was so amazing! I wish it was on the permanent menu. You can always count on them for a great meal. Looking forward to my next visit!

I prefer their neighbor Halycon over them but unfortunately they were closed today. My only issue with Egan & Sons and many other similar establishments in New Jersey is that I am constantly waiting 10 or more minutes to be acknowledged when sitting at the bar but when people of another race(White) come in they are acknowledged immediately. Different staff members walked past me over 10 times while my head chased each of them waiting to be greeted. They were checking in on other patrons, eating their food, making drinks, talking to each other everything under the sun but asking me if I was being helped. I'm not saying yall are racist. But ya might be racist.

Place was passable. Grabbed the steak 🌮 and beverage 🥃. Very busy and uninteresting.
Where do I begin? So much has changed since I was 23, and I'm 37 now. This place has been a long stay in Montclair and has only gotten better with time. I had their double cheeseburger and it was immaculate! Juicy, cooked medium and the sweet potato fries were nice and fluffy.
This day was a meet up with the boys, and we all had drinks.

Bartender (forget his name but believe it was Sean or Luke) kicked a large group of 20-30 people out for being '"too loud" on a Saturday night. Last time I checked its a bar so not sure what the issue was. They cost themselves a very lucrative bill, tip and lifelong customers. We will NEVER go back and will inform others not too as well.
