After so many people recommend this place, we decided to give it a try. We ordered a few things off the menu, including their fried fish and shrimp. And I have to say this was the single worst takeout meal we have ever had. The fish was tasteless and so small we thought it was a mistake. The shrimp were even worse, so over cooked and tasteless . Overall would never go back

Not five star fancy; it’s a local chippy, and it’s a five star for what it is! Hadn’t been to Montclair location in a while, and happy to report that it’s just as good as it started out. Fish delicious, fresh and crispy, salad beautifully composed.

I went with family and friends, there were 6 of us. Everyone enjoyed what they had. I had the fantasy shrimp salad which was delicious and there were enough shrimp in the salad. The place was neat and clean and the owner was very plesant, personable and accommodating. We will be back.
Amazing food & staff! The fish is some of the freshest we’ve had, paired masterfully with complimenting ingredients and homemade sauces. The staff and especially owner Vesna are super lovely - happy to accommodate any adjustments. All this combined with new land based options makes this a frequent go-to for our family as everyone can find something they like (and often have trouble choosing!). The casual atmosphere, easy counter service and byob service make any visit a joy for families, groups and couples alike.

Food was good but the portions were tiny… $20 for fish and chips with 2 tiny pieces of cod on a bed of basic fries didn’t seem worth it as it wasn’t even a filling meal! Shrimp quesadilla also only comes with 2 pieces but was cheaper so I could understand that. They need to work on their portion sizes for the prices they charge. I definitely don’t recommend unless you want to come eat here and still leave hungry!

My daughter is usually a picky eater, but she finished everything—and even asked for more! Our whole family loved the delicious food and the warm, friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Truly some of the best food we've ever had.

Fish was fresh, but very oily..AND portions are miniscule! $20 for a bed of fries, 3 small pieces of shrimp, and 1 very small piece of cod. I got an extra salad and a drink and still left hungry. My husband got a full salad bowl with octopus. He commented that he's had bigger portions at Spanish tapas (appetizer) spots.
I guess this is a good spot if you're not that hungry or if you want to pay $52 for fries and a tiny salad.
