My family has been getting food from Golden River since around 2010 and we've never had a negative experience. The food is always prepared well and tastes good. The delivery driver makes sure the order is delivered with care.

Food use to be good I always got the sesame chicken and beef lo mein. Went to the this location on Monday to order sesame chicken and it wasn’t cooked thoroughly. Told the owner about it and she tried convincing me it was cooked. I reminded her I had her food many times and it never tasted weird or was chewy with translucent. She tried to convince me it would be pink if it wasn’t which is not true considering she was using chicken breast. She made me another order and it tasted like she put cleaner in the food. Of course later that night and for a few days I had food poisoning.

Had an interesting experience ordering here for the first time. Told the lady my order and I asked for light oil on the shrimp and broccoli but she didn’t respond. So before the call ended, I asked “did you hear what I mentioned about the light oil” she rudely goes “I heard you, I know you. I know what you always order”….well thing is I was a first time customer so hardly likely that she knew me. The food itself was sub par. The shrimp had a smell and an aftertaste that was not pleasant. The shrimp rolls were very good though.

Ordered broccoli and shrimp. Dish had no flavor. First time I didn’t like rice from a Chinese restaurant. Seemed over cooked. Spring rolls were good.

My mother went into golden river not even 15 minutes ago and was profiled. She greeted the person behind the counter very pleasantly and as she was looking at menu they stared at her. She went to order Vegetable egg foo young and they proceeded to say “egg foo young is sold out” and also “we’re closing soon” while other people are sitting down and enjoying they’re meal but when it came to my mother a person of color she was dismissed. Very rude and unfortunate when this place is spoken highly of. So sad she couldn’t eat this establishment. Wouldn’t waste my time going back.

I really love this place! It’s the best comfort food for my family always! The owners are so lovely! Their food is always fresh! Packed perfectly and reasonably priced! My go to every week! My kids love it!

The general Tso sauce strikes the perfect balance of spicy, sweet, and umami. And they give you so much chicken. Pork egg roll was 2 bucks so why not??
