Greek Taverna - Montclair

Server was not attentive to our needs at all. Forgetting parts of the order, not checking to see how things were, didn't want to check if we wanted anything before our last guest joined us. Then it took so long to get any service. The food was very mediocre. Not planning a return trip here. They also had a wedding reception in a tiny room that was very loud and we waited almost ten minutes because they were taking pictures.

Restaurant is big and tables are spaced out. Enough room for everybody. Very nice and attentive servers. The food was mediocre. The sea food appetizer had a spoiled fish smell when they brought it to our table. Main dishes were ok. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. Won't come there again.

The Greek taverna in Montclair is an absolute gem.I went with a group after a graduation and they seated a large group of us, from the moment the warm pita bread arrived at the table, it was clear this place takes pride in doing the basics exceptionally well the pita is beyond amazing, soft, fresh, and honestly unforgettable. The rest of the meal followed suit , flavorful, thoughtfully prepared, and refreshingly healthy without sacrificing taste. Every dish felt balanced and authentic, making it easy to enjoy a satisfying meal that still feels light and nourishing. The quality of the food paired with the welcoming taverna atmosphere makes this a standout spot in Montclair. Easily a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Especially because those pita bread was so amazing.

The food was great and everyone loved all of the foods we tried. We had mousakka, octopus, gyro, lamb and fish. Everything was fresh and delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and they surprised us with a delicious chocolate cake. Lovely and attentive service.
