Had lunch at Halcyon in Montclair and really enjoyed the crispy tofu bowl. The tofu had a great crunch, the rice was filling and everything felt fresh without being heavy. Portions were solid, service was friendly, and the space has a nice vibe. Would definitely order this again.

I had lunch at Halcyon Montclair recently and it completely exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is beautiful, but I was especially impressed how incredibly fresh and well-prepared the sushi was. The bar at Halcyon is also fantastic. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch, a business meeting, or a midday drink. The wait time was surprisingly quick, even during the lunch hour. Everything came out promptly without feeling rushed, which made the experience even better. If you're looking for a great lunch restaurant in Montclair NJ with high-quality seafood, fresh sushi, and a welcoming bar, Halcyon Montclair is definitely worth the visit. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. I’ll be coming back soon!

While we were excited to dine for our first time, we were very much disappointed. The bar setting was and drinks were nice, we sat upstairs next to a large 50th birthday party that must've thrown off the kitchen as well as the servers. May give it a second chance we'll see

Halcyon never disappoints. It was my birthday last night, and this is my favorite place for absolutely any occasion. Every dish is simply delicious. You cannot go wrong coming here. The food, the ambience, and of course the service is always exceptional!!

Fantastic appetizers, awesome jazz, and great ambience. Entrees not great. I had the steak special and overcooked. Got attitude for swapping truffle fries for mashed potatoes. Ordered a dozen oysters and the artichoke and they were phenomenal. Spent most of my time looking for my waiter who wasn't very nice and didn't even wish my wife a happy birthday. Odd considering it was a $350 Tuesday night at 6:30 pm. Seating booths very dirty and corners covered in dust between the booths. Thank you for a fun night!

We went on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. It was easy to get a table, the food was excellent, and we enjoyed some quiet in a place that is normally pretty noisy.

We've been to Halcyon several times but not in a few years. The restaurant is still beautiful and welcoming. Our service was mediocre at best, we waited 10-15 minutes for anyone to even come to our table to greet us and had to flag someone down whenever we wanted something. The food came out looking very nice but none of us loved our dishes, they were really just okay which was disappointing especially for the prices. Overall we had a pleasant experience with our friends but would definitely pick another restaurant when inviting people out in the future.

Odd experience. Entrance, was our first time, had a feeling was backwards. The hostess was not there... came after a while taking in the phone. Service was dry, was expecting more. Food was very spicy, and overpriced. We will not be returning.

Wow! Super fun cocktail selection... A little bit for everyone. Their brunch menu is incredible. Their dinner menu is even better. Again, something for everybody from salads to sushi to steak; you name it they have it and what's out of the ordinary is that it's all perfectly cooked. The portions are sized well. The restaurant is not presumptuous at all although it looks like it would be ( very fun and modern and decorated with impecable taste). Street parking is not a problem. The restaurant is situated in a very cute neighborhood outside of the downtown area but can walk around a bit after dining.
