Always a pleasant experience at WSK. The dishes are imaginative and artfully plated without pretension while skillfully merging ingredients from various cooking cultures. We dine out often and find Chef Beverly's cooking uniquely satisfying.

The food was good, no issue there. The restaurant was empty. We were a table of 5 and another table of 4 plus one other couple came in after us. The time it took to be served appetizers was too long and they all did not come out together. Then we waited another 1/2 hour for our main meal and they brought out 2, then 5 minutes later another 2 then the last one came out 5 minutes later. Then once we told the waitress we would never come back, the owner/chef came out to question us. She said since it is a weeknight it was only the 2 of them. Not right. Tell us before hand or staff up. She did take a few things off the bill as a concession. I will not go back.

Outstanding and brilliant service and food. The specials of the squash blossoms and scallion pancake were excellent! Jonas and Kate so personable and make you feel like family. Bev is a true master in the kitchen. This place never disappoints

such wonderful, innovative, and creative food, my kids loved everything they tried, from the octopus to the orange, cardamon, and olive oil cake. Our steak was cooked to perfection, and the chicken skewer's are to die for. Our server was very sweet and attentive and the owner is adorable. 10/10 highly recommend

The food was amazing. I took myself out for a me-date. I started with the orange mushroom “wings” and a crab cake special (two crab cakes drizzled with kewpie and okonomiyaki sauce) over peach-apple-fennel slaw. I came for the steak frites Friday. The blade steak was cooked medium-rare as ordered, served with duck fat fries, a wedge salad, and cider-sherry au poivre sauce. Dessert was to go for my husband and myself, going with the Thai tea tiramisu and the orange cardamom cake. The food is always sublime. Everything is so well-balanced. This is a great spot to take yourself to dinner or go for a date night.

The food was very creative and absolutely delicious. The menu was very original. You won't find these menu items anywhere else. Everything was executed beautifully and we had a fantastic dinner. The service was also great. We look forward to returning!

The food was excellent! The chicken adobe Marsala could not have been improved on and a special entree incorporating strawberries was really creative (and not at all sweet). Service was friendly and professional.

Really enjoyed the food here. It was incredibly creative compared to other food in the area. I had a strawberry pasta special and it was absolutely delicious. Love that it's BYOB. The server was also kind and informative on all the specials and menu items. Great playlist too! We will definitely be coming back.

Food was good - interesting choices but the special salad we shared didn't quite hit the mark. Also, ambience would be hugely improved if music was more fitting to the vibe - AC/DC is just not dinner music.

We had a delicious dinner at WSK on a rainy Wednesday evening. The weather may have kept diners at home, but we were so glad we went! The halibut entree was perfectly prepared and the chicken-fried wild mushrooms were so tasty. Beverly ups the game for others in Montclair! She is a creative chef and runs a wonderful restaurant. BYOB makes it an excellent choice!

Short walk to wellmont theatre for performance last night. Looked like a place popular with locals. Cute restaurant. No liquor license. Extremely creative & well prepared menu. My husband had duck crostini and homemade pappardelle pasta and I had cacio de Pepe appetizer and bibimbap. Very eclectic menu. Keeper for return visits to Montclair

Party of 5 on a Sunday evening. It was a little noisy when we arrived, but as a couple of large tables left, the noise level was fine. The service was attentive and friendly without being obtrusive. The food was simply wonderful. It was creative and prepared to perfection. We all loved everything. The prices are definitely not for the budget minded. But the food was so worth it.

I have wanted to try Walnut Street Kitchen for some time and was pleasantly surprised when I was able to get a reservation for Easter Sunday. Every dish was delicious especially the pork chop, which was cooked to perfection! Ended out meal with the olive oil cake which we were told has won awards, I agree it was amazing! The restaurant is very warm and inviting and I love that the owner came out to meet us after our meal. Walnut Street Kitchen also showcases local artists (now showing, Patricia Patzi) which gives this restaurant an extra STAR.

We absolutely love Walnut Street Kitchen. Cannot recommend coming here for dinner enough. The food is incredible. The chef is so unbelievably talented. The bread, beet salad, pork chop and olive oil cake are not to be missed. Make this your next night out. ?❤️?

Food was a mixed bag. The appetizer (beet salad) was very good though the portion was very small. The main course (duck) was fair. The duck was accompanied by a mediocre “fruit salad” and was not well cooked (the skin was not crispy). Dessert - Thai tea tiramisu was tasty. There was one waitress covering the entire restaurant and while she was very friendly she was totally overwhelmed and the service was extremely slow.
