Tonight represents my first and last visit to this restaurant. Our waitress was incredibly kind and her attitude represented the highlight of my visit, but that’s where all the positives end. The shrimp included with the shrimp cocktail were incredibly dirty, and I could taste and feel the texture of dirt between bites. This is simply inexcusable and I hope that I do not become ill due to consuming this. The fried shrimp appetizer was unremarkable and not appetizing, at all. The Maine lobster rolls were simply decent and nothing noteworthy, but they were the most appealing dish of the evening. I had higher expectations for this location’s seafood. Disappointed is a severe understatement.

We went for a quick lunch. We ordered the octopus to start. Perfectly cooked. I had the surf and turf burger, absolutely delicious, and she had the shack fish sandwich. We washed it all down with one of the best sangria I have ever had. Highly recommend it.

Walked into the place and there was no one to seat me. I ordered the fish and french fries with corn on the cob on the side. The fish is frozen fish out of the It’s not fresh fish and they were very greasy. I did not enjoy it. Also paid regular price. It was no lunch menu.The price wasn’t worth it.P.S the cod I received yesterday was not fresh fish period.
Jack’s Surf and Turf catering service was enjoyed by our members at the Montclair Women’s Club and the Upper Montclair Women’s Club. We went for dinner at Jack’s and the Lobster bisque was amazing!

Jack’s Surf and Turf is a fantastic spot with a laid-back, cozy atmosphere. The menu offers an impressive range of options, blending fresh seafood with perfectly cooked meats. I highly recommend the grilled seafood combo and lobster mac and cheese bites, both packed with great flavor. The staff here were very friendly and attentive as well. It’s definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!

Great experience! We got main lump crab cake and pan seared shrimp with garlic & old bay for appetizer which was delicious! For entrée, I wanted to try their fish and chips after the owner Greg shared they use gluten free flour and it didn’t disappoint! My friend got linguine in garlic sauce and she loved it! To top off our night, we had their gluten free cheesecake and amaretto cognac rice pudding which was amazing!!! I love that the owner is mindful of his patrons dietary restrictions and accommodates their needs to ensure they have an amazing time at Jack’s.

Had a great time celebrating my mom’s birthday here last night! Service was awesome and food was better. Got the classic surf and turf it was incredible! Especially the steak. Will DEFINITELY be back!! Side note. Make sure to save room for the homemade cheesecake lol
