Jalwa is one of my favorite restaurants in Montclair! There are so many different offerings all of which are fresh, delicious, and satisfying. Service is always kind and efficient and the atmosphere is elevated yet comfortable.

But the customer service was really bad ,even though they had less customers ,they weren't attentive ,neither had a smile.
Would never go there just because of the attitude that they show towards the customers.

We’ve loved Jalwa since we moved to town, but the prices have just gotten out of control and the portions are getting wildly small. We just paid $28 for chicken tikka and counted eight small pieces of chicken in a giant vat of sauce. With so many other good options in town, it’s hard to justify continuing to order from here.

"I had an incredible dining experience at Jalwa .The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor that transported me to India. But the real star of the show was the food - oh, the food! Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and spice, from the tender chicken tikka masala to the rich, creamy palak paneer. The garlic naan was crispy perfection, and the basmati rice was fluffy and fragrant. The service was top-notch too - friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.

Only got a few small plates but everything was delicious! Can't wait to come back and try more.

Hands down the BEST Indian food in the area! Delicious, large portions (my chicken methi must have had three full chicken thighs in it and my wife’s lamb biryani was chock full of tender pieces of lamb), and very reasonably priced. Love it!
