What a fun spot!! We have enjoyed dining inside and outside, both offer an enjoyable experience. Great draft selection and the food is awesome. Staff is friendly and attentive.

We have hosted multiple inclusive friendship dances at Just Jake’s and each is more exemplary than the previous. Ownership and management are always so gracious in accommodating our events and making them accessible to people of all abilities. They grant individuals who otherwise don’t have ample opportunities to socialize in a bar/restaurant setting the chance to let loose and have fun among friends. The appetizers are always a hit and Kristy is a dream to coordinate events with. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Let me tells ya... This place has come a long way since my college days, but that alone is a testament to the staying power of this bar, entertainment venue, restaurant and community staple. When you think ol' school Montclair, and always keepin' it real Montclair, Just Jakes and Tierneys comes to mind.
I haven't tried all of the grub, but from the few items, you can tell TLC goes into each dish – great pub food, and staff is always ROCK N' ROLL and ready to get you on track.
TRIVIA nights with HEY JERSEY is always fun, but hurts my brain... Mannnn Those are the hardest TRIVIA questions ever, but guess what, the more me brain hurts, the more beers I want hahahaha – GREAT TIME!
My only gripe is that lately they have this DUO doing KARAOKE NIGHTS, and I am a BIG KARAOKE guy and so is my crew – We go to sing, eat, drink and be merry, but the ROCKSTAR EVENTS crew is not so rock star... On more than one occassion, they've pronounce my name wrong, busted my chops saying I wrote my own name wrong, argued with me about it on stage in front of everyone – BUT OH yeah, that's because the female co-host was BOMBED, like totally drunk. Then to add SALT to the CUT.... They friggin try to SING while you're singing, and often they don't even know the words, and mix in that they're PLASTERED, and it makes KARAOKE a reallllll dragggggg.
SO yeah... Minus the KARAOKE, everything else is AMAZING!
Make sure you head on down to JUST JAKE'S just not when Rockstar Events is there, and ask for KENNY the bartender.... He has the ALES for what AILS YA!!! :)

Karaoke night worked well for young crowd in costumes the day before Halloween.
I stopped by after work since I work nearby, but unfortunately my experience was very negative. The owner was extremely rude to us because another table had an issue with their tab. What that table did had absolutely nothing to do with us, yet we were treated with clear disrespect. I also believe there were racist undertones in how we were spoken to, which was deeply upsetting. My friends and I always treat staff with respect and pay our bill, and we did not deserve to be spoken to that way. I will no longer spend my money here.

The drinks and food were great. Waitress was nice too. Only complaint is that bartender was too busy with a large private event and couldn’t initially get the yummy drink they serve in a Capri Sun type of pouch.
