My wife and I walked into LK for the first time and the hostess greeted us and said "sit anywhere you'd like".....what restaurant ever says that, we were hooked right away. We both shared a caesar salad, it was delicious. My wife ordered pasta with sausage. That too was delicious, I had the pasta with cherry tomatoes and crab meat, absolutely delicious. When our order came, we immediately got fresh pepper and before I could even ask for fresh cheese, a gentleman was waiting behind me with the cheese. I mean, c'mon the place has a great food, great service and a nice chill atmosphere. I think we just found our go-to restaurant.

We were looking for a place to grab a nice dinner while traveling and discovered this restaurant because of positive reviews. I have to say it lived up to them. We had no idea it was byob, however they have a system where you order your wine and it’s delivered from a place next door in minutes, which wad quite convenient.The food was all very good, the mussels appetizer was delicious. I got the Fresh Pappardelle with veal and beef meatball which honestly was one of the best meatballs I’ve ever had. And the pasta was very good as well. We also had the risotto which I thought was good. The service was also good and quick and explained everything to us. Definitely recommend!

The food is tasty and what I would describe as the total of the sum of its parts (not more, not less), and the service is fantastic. The bread to start is lovely and served warm, and it’s BYOB.Bread served with a giant slab of butter either salt on top: crusty, warm rolls…deliciousMixed green salad with cranberries, walnuts, and vinaigrette: yummy, tangy dressing; an excellent version of what you would expectSpring special tagliatelle with duck bolognese: good, sum of its parts but not more. If you made it at home, you’d be happy.Spring special linguini with lump crab and local corn: if you get everything in one bite, it’s great, but otherwise, it feels like it could be better. I’d be really proud if I made it, but I would also only expect it to be exactly what’s described in the name of the dish.Service is fantastic. Everyone is incredibly nice, and they do a great job at clearing dishes/utensils and filling your water, etc. I would come back for the lovely service alone.Parking: Paid street parking, always a little hard to find in this area, but you can find something within walking distance without too much trouble

Our party of 3 visited based on the online reviews. We were in town for a small event on a Sunday. Very cool, clean, crisp, atmosphere with the sun shining through the front window a plus. The food was exceptional in every way as was the service. One small suggestion would be to have a representative greeting and walking the floor to ensure that all is being enjoyed. The appetizer meatball does not disappoint as well as the risotto, salmon, and linguini, entrees. The burrata appetizer was nothing special but enjoyable nonetheless. All three of us recommend this restaurant.

Recently had a baby shower for 65 women at Laboratorio in Montclair, NJ and we couldn't be happier. The food was excellent, and the service was great. Chef/Owner James DeSisto went above and beyond paying attention to every detail. Even the restaurant's flowers were color coordinated with our theme. All of the servers were attentive and very professional. Meals were served on time without leaving anyone waiting. The guests all walked away happy. Great job Laboratorio!

Spent my birthday with a dinner date here and it was very lovely. It’s BYOB and we didn’t know… But we called a liquor store nearby and our wine was delivered to our table in a few minutes.

Excellent service, delicious food. I had the Atlantic Salmon and it was perfect. Do try the meatballs in apetizers, so delicious and tasty. The host was so friendly and I definitely recommend this restaurant!

This restaurant is a gem. My wife and I have been here twice and we're coming this Saturday and bringing friends. The room is very nice and the service is excellent. The menu is balanced and, frankly, something of a bargain. The veal/beef meatball is as good as any I've ever had. The New York strip was perfectly cooked and very tender. I make a pretty good steak at home so rarely order one out. Laboratorio Kitchen is becoming a go-to place for me!

Not our first rodeo here, but having returned after a hiatus, certainly glad we did. Booked a last minute reservation, on busy Friday night. Short wait while our table was prepared, as the staff was trying to accommodate 2 large parties. Server was very good, prompt but not intrusive, our meals were served promptly, but we didn't feel rushed. The selections, salmon and pasta were excellent as was the appetizer burrata special. Only disappointment, they ran out of the bronzini special. Dessert was excellent. Great experience! We will be back soon.

My husband and I went there on Sunday to celebrate by birthday, and as always, the meal was wonderful. I had scallops served with cauliflower puree. An unusual combination, but it went over well. Their entrees are creative and attractively presented. They even surprised me with a mini birthday cake. Prices are very reasonable, and it's BYO which keeps the price down. My only complaint is the noise level. We were only two people and were sitting in the back, so we were able to talk to each other. When the restaurant is full, which it should be because it is so good, the noise level can get rather high.

Absolutely delicious! My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner at Labrotorio Kitchen and the food was incredible! James and his staff are one of a kind and the menu is out of this world! Highly reccomend! (And get the meatball)!!!
