Nice little coffee shop. Cold brew was strong and pairs perfectly with a Doughnut Plant donut. Double chocolate or black & white - can’t go wrong with either. Will be back to try the pastry selection.

My partner and I first started visiting Local in 2021, and it's been our go-to since. Despite having four coffee shops closer to home, none of them match the quality of Local. That's why it's become part of our daily routine. We can always count on them to get it right. Plus, we've become friendly with the owners and baristas. Everyone there is professional and genuinely kind and caring.
Known for their warm and personal service, Local offers the best coffee and espresso in the Montclair area. Their menu is thoughtfully curated, featuring delicious seasonal drinks without overwhelming choices. My personal favorite? A perfectly crafted cappuccino, the perfect start to my mornings.
Though it's a small shop, there's plenty of seating both inside and outdoors. It's always a good sign when there are regulars hanging out, chatting or working. Somehow there is always plenty of room for all to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to catch up with old friends or make new ones :)

This shop served me the worst expresso I ever tasted in my life, since I couldn't even drink it. It seems like they never cleaned the machine.

On multiple occasions the baristas were very condescending and disrespectful, especially the tall blonde with tattoos. We would frequent this establishment some mornings, of which the Donuts that they sell have been really good, on numerous occasions this barista and the other barista rolled their eyes, made snarky comments, and were not polite in their answers to our questions. Understanding this is an imported outside vendor they get their donuts from and might not have every flavor each time. The eye rolling, whispering behind the counter as I witness the baristas actively making snarky comments to one another about the fact that we were disappointed we “missed” the donuts or they didn’t have the ones we like. This establishment used to be one we would frequent but I vow to never return. Even though the one gentleman was kind and respectful it happened on numerous occasions and I would not return to an establishment that makes fun or mocks our patronage. To the management, it would be wise to establish clear ground rules for baristas to treat all with respect. You seem to practice inclusion and respect on the surface but deep down your disrespect to me and my partner have been appalling. I’ve taken my business elsewhere.
