Make sure you don’t show up before 11:30. They’re not open. Here’s a pic of the door to prove that the hours online are wrong even though it says hours were verified by the establishment. Don’t waste your time.

Ordered 24 Mochinuts for my daughter's school birthday celebration. Scheduled pick up for 8:15am and store closed. The hours on the door say Sun-Thus 11:30am to 8pm so we assumed the online ordering platform was wrong. When I called later to get my money back, staff said they were open at 8am it's just everyone was running late. My husband was there until 8:25am or so and nothing. I understand things come up but you would think someone would at least call and apologize. I wasn't looking for more than that. Even when I called, it felt like a shoulder shrug through the phone.

Place is good, if you are looking for a different kind of sweet. Donuts are made with rice flour, and are exactly like the ones I used to eat in akihabara ( Tokyo) .we try the nutella, and oreos, pretty good, we need to go back to try the churros flavor.

First time trying mochi donuts and I was hooked. I bought 6 to try a variety of flavors. All of them were pretty good except the dark chocolate with the Ferrero rocher, the chocolate tasted cheap and not of quality. The churro, both fruity pebbles, and coconut were pretty good. The funnel cake had a very strong, tart strawberry drizzle that wasn't to my liking. All donuts were fluffy but the churro was my favorite.

Montclair is getting heats up! Used to visit its sister store in Fort Lee, happy to see it now open in Downtown Montclair, same level food and service, highly recommend corn hotdog, crispy and full mouth of happiness!

Delicious donuts that improve upon yhe japanese variants from which theyre derived. The boba drinks are also unique in that they are "canned" on the spot in clear plastic cans.

Yummy flavors and texture. Mochi is a unique food and is well suited to the sweet, chewy mochinut format. ?

I love mochi - so it’s no surprise that I loved having a mochi donut. You have expect that it’s chewy. The texture to me is really nice actually. My favorite flavor was the sesame. The one pictured is taro (I think) and it was great, but just a tad sweet. I have been twice so far. The only negative is how early they close!!

These American Donuts x Japanese Mochi are very delicious- my favorite is the Thai which tastes like a baked version of Thai Iced Tea ?

ordered from here often enough to say that the donuts were often satisfactory depending on the time of day you choose to order / come in. it’s very pricey for just 3 donuts on their own, add anything more and you’re looking at $20-30 for a grand total, but other than that, is still a nice treat every once in a while. the boba was mediocre and a bit overpriced as well, but a nice combo with the donuts if you don’t care about spending an arm and a leg for a couple donuts and a drink

I’ve tried this place twice and gotten the mochi donuts both times, nothing else. The first time, the service was fine. A little slow, but nothing to really complain about. The donuts had a great chewy consistency, though flavor was somewhat light. The second time, the place was packed, and the service was horrendous. There was only one person taking orders and ringing, and he was not trained well. Instead of bringing the box over to the donuts, he walked each donut from the display all the way across the store to the box by the register. A dozen times. This was when the line was long (I waited at least 20 minutes). The donuts were also greasy this day and not as chewy as I remembered. Service really needs to improve.

First off, I'm shocked that three donuts came out to almost 10 dollars. These things are clearly able to be produced on a machine. Regardless, I can justify to myself paying that price for great artisan donuts. But these weren't fresh and had a blah taste. The nutella donut was NOT nutella. It was basically chocolate. The Black Sesame was the best out of the three, but thats not saying much. I won't be back. There are so much better donuts in the area.

I only had mochi donuts so that is all I can comment on. The variety of flavors was nice and they are bigger and heavier than I thought! I personally liked the Vietnamese Coffee the best~ Nice little place.

Interesting. The donuts have a spongy and slightly gummy consistency but the outside is the thinnest layer of crisp. We had a strawberry and a Nutella and both were very good. Gets very crowded around dinner time but open until 9pm. Cute place, worth a try.
