We recently celebrated my daughters Sweet 16 at Montclair Chill and it was truly amazing from start to finish. From the moment I met Lola and saw the event space, I was sold. The space is beautiful and well taken care of which provided me the perfect blank canvas to bring my vision to life.
Lola and her staff were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were kind, accommodating and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. Lola was extremely flexible with my set up times which made the entire process stress free. Everyone had an amazing time and my daughter still talks about how much of a great time she had.

When our original venue unexpectedly closed, Montclair Chill came to the rescue on very short notice—and absolutely saved the day for our “Fairy First Birthday” celebration!
Ibrahim enthusiastically showed us around the spacious 3,500 sq. ft. venue, and we were especially impressed by the 200 capacity open floor plan, private dressing room, bar with commercial refrigerator, A/V room with audio equipment (speakers and microphone), restrooms with modern LED backlight mirrors, and the intimate outdoor seating furniture with cushions. With a 200-person capacity, it was perfect for our guest list. Lola and her assistant were incredibly attentive, bending over backwards to resolve all issues or miscommunications that arose. The banquet staff they sourced were outstanding, keeping everything running seamlessly throughout the event!
One of the unexpected highlights of this venue for my husband was the kitchen—it had a large commercial food warmer, a small deep freezer, and most importantly, three deep commercial sinks. Once filled with ice, we used the sinks to store and chill cases of water, wine, beer, champagne, and top-shelf liquor—an absolute game-changer! The event insurance policy was new to us, but it was a small and reasonable fee in place of the traditional large security deposit, and very worthwhile to indemnify party hosts/venue etc. against damage(s).
The brand new management team/owners deserve special recognition for efficiently coordinating with our decorator and her crew to set up the space without a hitch, well in advance.
I enthusiastically recommend you book Montclair Chill—they will blow you away with everything you need and more.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The venue was phenomenal! Our only issue was the floors weren’t swept upon arrival which is okay because Lola directed me to where I can find the broom and all was taken care of! Lola was very helping and she worked around my decorator and vendors schedule! I will be using them again!

Miss Allison the owner is awesome. I had a birthday party at this place. From the first time we met, until the day of the party, she had been very professional and collaborative. Everything was great. I will definitely used this place again in the future. Thank you so much to the team.

I honestly 100 percent enjoyed throwing my event with Allyson up until she showed me a side I never thought I would see while spending almost $3000 with a business. When it was time to pay I just asked for an hourly breakdown of what the total was and Allyson started raising her voice at me saying”I have no right to ask her any question.” She also stated that “ my white customers never give me this issues.” I was very confused by that statement as we are both black and have a West Indian background. Everything went smooth and I even paid extra for staying 40 mins extra and for her to still disrespect me left a bad taste in my mouth. I would never throw another event at this venue. Especially now knowing she thinks of her white customers more highly than her black customers.
