Just hold a party at Nori Montclair. The ingredients are so fresh, they create amazing rolls and presentations that are both beautiful and tasty. Everyone loves and enjoys the food. Highly recommend.

Good not great ... largely because, at least on the evening we visited recently, they were a bit understaffed. Another issue is that they do such a brisk online business that the in-house experience can suffer a bit. The sushi was good and the plum wine was tasty, but having to wait over almost forty-five minutes for the former was a bit of a bummer. It had been a couple of years since we last visited and will likely be a while before we do so again. Maybe we, too, will just order online....

Ordered some sushi to go. The sushi was good. I am just glad that we didnt dine in, as the server was rude and seems to be in a hurry when there was only 3 tables occupied only. Will come back for the food but will opt again for to go as we dont want to be served by rude person.

Got some sushi and it was delicious, some items are little overpriced (expected in Montclair). The sushi is fresh and the service is great. Would definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

Food is just ok. Prices are what you’d expect in Montclair. Came on a non busy Friday afternoon (we were the only people in the restaurant). The server was so/so. She didn’t seem to want to assist us outside of taking our orders though. She got my order wrong however I said it was fine and ordered a side of steak (my original order) instead of sending it back because I hate complaining. She comes back ten minutes later to explain to me it would be an additional $8 (without the steak) which I then stated was perfectly fine as I don’t mind paying for my food although it was HER mistake. Anytime I asked for something (napkins, to go containers, etc) she gave a look as if I inconvenienced her. For the amount of food we had, two small to go trays just simply wasn’t enough. She scowled at us like we had the audacity to ask for another to go tray. Pretty weird service being that it’s completely empty and all you’re doing is on your phone. We ended up packing our food half way thru and just leaving. Not a terribly bad experience, just not the best.
After ordering a quick few orders of food on the go I had told the staff ide be waiting in the car and shall return in 10 minutes. I’m sitting in the car reading and a hear a polite knock on my window it was the restaurant bringing my order to the car! I was super happy with that and it was very nice of them. I didn’t have to walk in and out it was fast too and the food was great. Thanks

My husband and I ordered bento boxes, one with chicken teriyaki and another with chicken katsu. The chicken was good, but the rest wasn't good. The salad dressing tasted weird. The shumai was too oniony. The avocado in the sushi was too soft and mushy. The shrimp/veggie tempura was cut too thickly and the breading was undercooked. Wouldn't come here again.

I love NORI!!!! I’ve been coming here for a few years now and every time i go back, the food and the service just keeps getting better. I recommend getting the lunch special, comes with their delicious green salad with house dressing, miso soup and two rolls. The mango roll is a must have !!!!
