Sat outside on a very comfortable night. Reservations are NOT accepted for outside seating. The starter bread and olives - very good. The tomato and burrata cheese and mashed potatoes also very good. Large servings. Ditto on the wonderful pork shank. The sautéed mushrooms- not at all to my taste. Could not eat them. BYO was a nice add. Pescecanne is happy to return for this wonderful restaurant. Greeted as a long lost customer, the recommendation was Seafood Tagliolini. Homemade pasta always gets high marks but the infusion of seafood in small bites made the starter a great split for two. Bravo! Specials were Hanger Steak with mashed potatoes (the gravy rich with a robust flavor for for the very tender beautifully carved steak) and root vegetables that simply disappeared in the exercise. I took my daughter, Elissa, out for our Annual Dinner to LaRocca. Bobby never ceases to amaze me with the delicious dishes that he puts out at LaRocca. We started off with a couple of appetizers. The grilled octopus was so tender. The beet salad with roasted nuts and feta cheese was excellent. Elissa had the Halibut, which I tasted and it was great. I had the Tuna and Broccoli Rabe salad.
