Unfortunately they don’t know how to make espresso

A cute and fun airplane-themed coffee shop! The drinks are pretty good, and we especially love the rotating monthly menu with unique drink offerings. It definitely gives us a reason to come back and try something new.

I found it very average; the coffee and pastries. The place is cozy for morning coffee and a quick bite, but it's not worth the big word about it.

Not great coffee

Was very disappointed at this place today. Been coming here for years since before they moved. I always come here for the Ice butter brew, Today I decided to get a 32oz since I love it so much a bit larger than my usual and the lady on the register was sweet but she filled up the cup to the top she went ice happy I asked her to please remove some of the ice, it was just too much all the way pass the top and she did but the rude lady in the back the one that made the drink I guess made sure she make up for the ice that was taken out and make sure she didn’t fill the cup my total was $14.10 the charge for the ice butter brew plus a tip. And you couldn’t even filled up the cup come on? Small business or not take care of your customers we even tipping you for doing your job how shameful and from what I read here it’s this has happened to others too. I would NOT be returning back. Today was my last time here.

Overall, I enjoy Paper Plane’s coffee. The cafe itself is cute, the employees are ok. For matcha however, if you enjoy good authentic matcha, steer clear from here. I asked for a sweetened matcha here and it tastes like straight up milk. It’s wayyy too overpriced for it to taste like water. You don’t taste the earthiness of the matcha and you can barely taste the vanilla. The color isn’t a bright green, its a dull light green which should’ve been the first red flag. I asked it to be remade and it was worse the second time around. I do however enjoy the iced mocha and have come here multiple times in the past. However this time I’ve got the matcha was some of the worst matcha I’ve ever had and would never recccomend this place for matcha. I’d reccomend ordering from ippodo or even Starbucks. I’m extremely disappointed and annoyed I spent $10 on green water.

Prepare to wait and for that wait to be worth every sip!

Was and hope it can still be my fav coffee roaster in nj. Something is just off with the espresso lately. It tastes way too light and slightly watered down. The espresso used to be so rich that it would leave a stain on my cup. Now the espresso leaves no traces. I understand sometimes things aren’t perfect and perhaps maybe the roast is too light or the machines are pouring too much water into the espresso.

Fun place. It's great if you're needing to sit and work. Not a whole lot of tables inside, but very cool shop & the coffee was perfection!!!

I’m so disappointed today. I have been going here for years- I been back when it was a small shack. Today I came in asked for cold brew no ice (I normally ask for this when it gets cold) along with another latte. The lady in the front was pretty rude. She said she will charge an extra dollar to fill the cup so I said just put the regular. Mistake! The image here is what she poured lol it’s a joke, half a cup really. So I ended up paying the extra dollar. Never have any coffee shop has done this! Oh and I buy their beans too so I know what the beans equate in cost. The pumpkin latte was bad also, diluted taste. To top this off, the line was out the door and the staff were filling stock cups when there’s more and clearly mis managed priorities. For context this was today at 10am about. With this bad review, I will tell you I met the owner several times and he is absolutely great.

My husband and I love to come here and try different items each time. Amazing menu, plus knowledgeable and skilled baristas! The store gets very busy but the staff handles the line efficiently. There is an exceptional amount of care put into crafting the coffees, which is especially commendable considering how busy it gets. Can't wait to come back and try more :)
