The service and the noise level ruined the meal for us. Similar to another person’s experience…the meal was rushed out when the appetizers weren’t finished. I specifically ordered Bronzino whole and he brought out filet and told me , “sweetheart that’s what you ordered.” My table all told him that wasn’t so. I said I’d wait for them to cook me what I asked for…everyone was finished with their meals by the time I got mine! A different waiter came to the table to apologize, but the original waiter never came back. The noise level at the restaurant was also crazy loud. The food was very good, but the experience leaves me with a very negative impression for a first time visit.

I was invited to PR by a close friend to celebrate my birthday. Parking is limited. We dined at 6pm and would recommend reservations. Service was very professional, a rarity in most dining these days. PR is BYOB. My friend first ordered a palmito green salad which she said was excellent. I selected the octopus with white beans from the evening's "special" menu. It was very tender with a nice spice; great appetizer. For our entrees we selected fish from the special menu. Her choice was the branzino filet and I selected the blackened red snapper topped with a generous helping of crabmeat served with a small portion of tender mixed green vegetables. Both were excellent. We shared a side dish of sauteed spinach. Desserts looked excellent but neither of us are dessert people. Excellent meal. The only negative for the evening, which was certainly no fault of PR, was a group of about 10 diners who's boisterous, loud and inconsiderate behavior detracted from all dining guests. I would definitely recommend to friends and family and will certainly return.

I wish this restaurant much success. Thai calamari, stuffed mushrooms, mango salad all very good. Veal dishes and pasta were excellent. End your meal with a tasty dessert and cappuccino.Food: 5/5

The service was very disorganized and the food was not even good. I first had a reservation for 4 but I called and I asked would it be okay for 5 and was told yes. We get there and we were seated at a table for 4 but there were 5 of us! Then we had to wait at least 10 minutes to get only 2 menus! They told us that this was all they had at the moment. Once everyone finally got a men, we tried to put in an appetizer order and the waiter was very quick and said no I need the table’s whole order and then he walked away. After 10 mins later he came back and we basically needed to beg him to take our order. My friend wanted fish with linguine and the waiter looked at her like she was crazy and then made her felt bad for wanting it. I ordered vodka rigatoni and I received a very small portion that was salty. My other friend got a paella dish and the lobster was disgusting.I head the couple behind me say they will never come back here again. They had people who wanted a table standing there watching everyone eat making us feel uncomfortable and then you could hear them getting me too. I also thought it was a quick walk to the Wellmont but I was wrong!Overall very expensive for a long wait, small tables, and not good food. Wouldn’t recommend

Arrived at 5pm when they opened Waiter won’t take our appetizer order unless we put in our dinner order at he same time. We were rushed through out dinner took our desert order and at 6:30 we were asked to leave because people were waiting for the table. Food was average.

So it's 8:15m and there are people waiting out on the sidewalk to get in here. I had the chicken pappardelle as did my brother-in-law. My wife at the Parpardelle Malafemmina and my sister-in-law had the Bronzino. Everything we had was just truly fantastic. We have just finished and are waiting to pay for truly excellent meal and 30 minutes later, they're still waiting to get in here. Just try this place, although reservations is a good idea. Also a good idea is maybe trying Pappardelle during the week... and it's a BYOB!!

3 1/2 stars. Enjoyed dinner with another couple. Lovely intimate interior with very small table for 4 people. The waiter expanded our table after we complained. For starters we had the caesar salad, tomato & mozzarella salad, & calamari. All were good. For dinner we had the bolognese with fresh pappardelle and the sole and shrimp. It was good but there was hardly any meat in the bolonese - it was good but disappointing. We enjoyed the carrot cake and expresso for dessert. One coffee came out cold. No parking which really sucked. Would not go again, there are better places in Montclair.
Our waiter was great. Met all of our food specific requests, very attentive. Food was delicious.Dietary restrictions: We had someone with tomato allergies and they customized the meal for her. And had gf pasta for someone with Celiac.

The service was flawless. We had 50 guests and everything went smoothly and the food was hot and delicious. Augustine took great care of us from planning the menu, working on the seating plan and providing outstanding service. He poured the wine at each table and took care of every detail. The restaurant is BYOB and they allowed us to drop off the beverages before the event so they were properly chilled when guests arrived. We can't say enough about the food and service. Thank you Augustine and staff at Pappardelle!!!
