The baked goods we ordered were tasty. It was a bit pricey, but understandable since gluten free usually does cost more. The cookies were very good. Two things- equal or Splenda was not available for the coffee I ordered, which was upsetting. Also, I don’t know how to describe the cashier. He did everything needed and wasn’t rude or unpleasant, just very blah. I will return and order different items to get a better taste of offerings.

If it wasn't for my niece who has Celiac and absolutely loves this place, I would not come here. If your order costs $48 and you want to pay with a $50 forget it. I was forced to use my card. they wouldn't take my cash. better have exact change. it's montclair, so it's over priced. but she loves this place so I have to bite the bullet for her.

I have just recently been told that I can’t have gluten and for me this was a big deal. Many people choose this but I did not . I do not have a wide variety of food that I like so I am finding this a struggle. I googled like many others and found this bakery and I am happy that I did. I have been there 3 times and have not been disappointed. I have gone and when I get there there may not be a wide variety but that is ok because you need to go early to get what you want. Once I found that out now I call ahead and they prepare my order and I go and pick up it very simple. I prefer that I know the items are fresh and made daily rather than having something stale. The cream puffs are delicious, corn bread also delicious the crumb cake is also delicious , and their country bread as well.
There is a chalk board that says how to keep your products fresh at home. I slice the bread and wrap in Saran Wrap and have not had an issue. I made delicious French toast. The service is always nice and helpful and i recently met the owner and she was nice too and explain a lot about the food and how they/she prepares her items . Gluten free is not fun or easy so to find a bakery locally that is working very hard on making this as enjoyable as possible thank you
I will call and order chocolate chip muffins and freeze that for a treat. One review mentions the cost all bakeries are about the same price. The cost for their overhead is also expensive and the items in the grocery store are more so obviously they have to charge a certain amount to be able to provide the customer a pleasant experience and a delicious item
Thank you for all you do

Atmosphere is severely lacking. The bakery seems as though it hasn’t made anything fresh for a while, because the pastries behind the glass were very few. Only a few muffins and cannolis here and there, it was just overall very sparse looking. I do also think they’re up charging an insane amount. They charged me $17 for an eclair and two cookies. I understand inflation is a hot topic - but you’d think this wouldn’t be close to $20 in a normal bakery setting. Just because something is gluten free shouldn’t mean it should cost me an arm and a leg. Lovely pastries, but I don’t see myself visiting as often as I’d like.

I purchased 5 cupcakes yesterday. I kept them in the fridge because the frosting already seemed to be melting off. When we tried eating them today, they were SO hard and dry. I probably should have read the reviews from this place first, but I have no idea how these were so bad. Not only was the cake part very flavorless, but the texture was awful. I was excited to purchased gluten free desserts for my nieces who are GF, but even they hated them.

A group of us bought 3 items from here yesterday. I will say it was later in the day and most of the items were sold out (surprisingly). 3 out of 4 people have celiac disease and have been eating gluten free for 10+ years. We got a cannoli, a black and white cookie and a brownie. All 3 items had weird consistencies, the cookies were super dry and the brownie was mushy and tasted like batter. Unfortunately we will not be back. We weren’t super impressed the last time we purchased items from here, but decided to give them a second chance. I hate to put down a small business, especially when they want to serve the gluten free community, but gluten free items are too high in calories and costs way too much money to not taste good.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. Last month I bought a variety of items to take to a party: cookies, eclairs, bagels. Everything was atrociously awful! I mean way beyond really bad. Absolutely inedible. All items were thrown in the trash. Everyone present tried a taste of everything because no one believed it could actually taste that bad but it did. I really hate to leave a bad review especially one this bad. I do not see how they could possibly still be in business. To the owner(s) of Plum Bakery-Please visit some other gluten free bakeries, purchase a variety of items and taste them. It is possible to have a gluten free bakery and produce food that is delicious. For you to be open and taking people's money for heinously bad tasting products should be illegal.

THE WORST gluten-free food I've ever had. Everything extremely dry, hard, flavorless, and somehow way too sweet. It is not difficult to make yummy gluten-free food, they're going out of their way to make this inedible. My stomach is turning. Eveything went in the trash.

Vegan cakes and cookies are lip-smackin delicious. If you’re not into dairy and eggs and butter in your baked goodies, you’ll be into Plum Bakery. Give it a shot, vegan friends.

Just left this little bakery after getting a brownie and an oatmeal cookie. Let me tell you how delicious they were I just devoured them. This is such a cute little spot. Wish the inside was a bit bigger.

Unfortunately the cupcakes I got from this place were dry, pasty, salty almost like they added too much salt and baking powder or baking soda. Frosting is nothing special, more like a whipped cream than a true buttercream frosting. Really disappointing!

Best eclairs ever! Having to be gluten free is not a simple and easy life.. factoring in all your favorite desserts can be difficult but Plum is such a relief! Everything is amazing & fresh, even all my non-gluten free eating family and friends love when I bring over some goodies!
