This was for my birthday breakfast. Food and service was great! I had pancakes, my partner had the basic eggs/potatoes/toast. We went on a Tue so it was not crowded and we were seated immediately.
I don't go to Montclair too often, especially in the morning, so with a trip to the town planned, my wife and I figured we'd get breakfast/brunch. Raymond's was top rated so we swung by. We were seated immediately - it wasn't packed but it wasn't empty - but we waited an incredibly long time for anyone to come by the table to give us water or take our order. So long that I actually started looking at other places nearby. Finally, a server swung by and took our orders. My wife got a burger and a club soda, I got an omelette that I specifically asked be scrambled up instead of folded over. Both my wife and I clocked how the waitress neglected to write that down even though she registered it was said. It took way too long before my wife got her club soda, and eventually, the food was delivered. Not surprisingly, the omelette was folded over. I immediately mentioned it to the person who brought it out (another server), and she took it back. By the time it was corrected, which was far from immediate, my wife had finished her burger. When it was brought to the table, there was no apology. I ate and some time passed before the server returned. At that point our drinks had been empty for significant periods of time. I didn't want to wait for anything else so I asked for the check. There is only one chance to make a first impression, and I am sure you can guess what mine is of Raymond's. I was hopeful our experience could be used as a lesson to the staff though to write orders down, so I sent an email to the restaurant but never heard back, so I decided to leave this review so other potential customers aren't left waiting and annoyed like we were.
Terrific and nostalgic fare. Got Turkey club for my meal with their delicious French fries. The sandwich was good enough to conquer my hunger and I only ate half. Took home the leftovers. My husband had the classic burger with French fries and it was huge and cooked to perfection. He said it was juicy and full of flavor with all the toppings. We both liked that the French fries came in a metal cup container because it kept the temperature longer which allowed us to eat them warm. I chose the green tea iced tea and thought it was perfectly not too sweet. Hubby got plain iced tea and it was unsweetened and terrific too. Prices are comparable to the area with tip just under $60.

The French toast was a standout amongst what was otherwise standard, unremarkable, appropriately priced, diner-quality breakfast food. The coffee is decent, too.

Old school feel inside but still updated and modern looking, well kept. Worth the money unlike some Montclair spots and service is fantastic. Food is fresh, well made and picture worthy.
Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs anywhere ? wide doorway to enter, moveable tables to make space.

Great Food at good prices. Friendly staff and quick service. There is street parking but don’t count on getting a spot. There is a parking garage located behind Raymond’s, that is the best place to park.
Parking: Few paid meters located in front but parking garage located in rear

Nasty filthy place!!! The store is very rundown, Fly's everywhere the table was dirty yet the place was empty!!! The server's where no help at all just clueless and didn't even offer to hand me or my husband a menu, the food that they serve the few people outside looked nasty AF me and my husband left I'm telling you I don't know why this place is recommended as top rated they must pay people for reviews because this place is absolutely horrible!!! I don't recommend

Went to this place on Saturday for brunch. The place has a good summer vibe as it’s located in very popular area. I tried their French toast, cappuccino and avocado items. Food taste was okay but I feel there are room for improvements. I would definitely recommend French toast.

Such a cute vintage-looking spot! Been here a few times. Service was good. Mac & cheese was delicious and the salmon was well prepared. It’s just so neat inside with the decor and colors, I find it charming. Parking can be a hassle in this area of the town.
