I pass by montclair all the time for work and been visiting bagel shop for breakfast and for lunch redeye. My dear people this establishment is a true honest one with people ! Every thing is delicious, simple, honest and super affordable. I just respect the service they provide, i ask my lady to get sandwich for lunch or even for dinner too. Awesome spot..

My friend and I went here for breakfast a week ago and we had a wonderful time. The waiter was super nice and attentive even though they were short staffed. I was able to tell that he attended everyone in a timely manner and was very courteous. I felt bad because he was by himself doing all the sit down tables. I appreciated his service and kindness. Definitely will be back. The food is absolutely delicious and the coffee is the best one I have had. Kudos to the baristas for being so attentive and getting every order out quickly and deliciously done.
Been ordering from Red Eye a lot with DoorDash over the last few years and I've been in the restaurant a few times going back a decade now and the quality and consistency has been maintained throughout the years. Coffee options are excellent and all menu items are tasty and presented well. One time the store even called me up just to confirm how I wanted my cappuccino. Prices are more than fair also for the quality that they are giving you. The reason why I use DoorDash so often is that the food and also the coffee always arrive still hot. I don't know how they coordinate everything but I'm impressed. The restaurant looks great with the subway tile. I should probably visit more.

Our go-to brunch spot when we want to treat ourselves. The corned beef hash is unlike anything I've ever eaten, it really is delicious and makes it hard to order other things since it's so tasty! The scotch egg banh mi is very interesting and also incredible delicious, as is the breakfast ramen which I recently tried. Very reasonable prices for Montclair, it can get very busy on weekends so anticipate that. But the food and service is consistently great, if you're hungry and impatient order a coffee to enjoy while you wait for a table. I recommend the dirty chai!

A great local cafe!! I've been to the Red Eye Cafe a few times and it always continues to deliver great food! I went yesterday for an early lunch on a Friday and it was quite busy with a 10-15 minute wait for a table by the time I left. Many came for quick grab and go coffee along with some tables outside on a nice day. It's pretty small inside with only about 10 tables but it's a great cozy atmosphere. I got my favorite sandwich there, the turkey pear sandwich which comes with a small side salad. Despite being busy the service was timely and attentive! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Montclair is surely full of a bunch of great restaurants but I'll definitely keep going back to Red Eye Cafe!

We stumbled across The Red Eye Cafe looking for coffee while on the way to a family funeral. It's located one minute walk from Walnut Station on the NYC eastbound side. The coffee was great, really great, smooth. We had chocolate and plain croissants which were perfect, crisp but melted in your mouth. The staff: relaxed, attentive, friendly. We stopped in again in after the funeral and a woman on the staff took time to talk to and comfort my wife.A great experience from a little coffe shop next to the train station.Lastly the Red Eye Cafe is absolutely sparkling clean from floor to ceiling. The bathroom is spotless as well and stocked with paper towels, hand sanitizer, air freshener and disinfectant wipes.Please support this team if you're in the neighborhood.

my husband and I visited the Red Eye Cafe yesterday for the first time, and we're so pleased and charmed by the service and friendliness and warmth of the staff first and foremost. We were meeting a family member to attend my mother's funeral, and the staff are aware and made us feel incredibly comfortable. The coffee and croissants were fantastic and the pricing is incredibly good. We return later in the afternoon to meet the most wonderful woman working there, who again extended such warmth and kindness, as well as provided such wonderful service I cannot wait to go back and see them all again.

Really surprised it took me this long to try this restaurant. Food was really good and service was excellent! I came here to catch up with a friend and felt like the server was attentive and he did not rush us at all!! Restaurant is super clean with a bookstore/coffee house aesthetic. Plus, they have a selection of breads and sweets you can grab on your way out. Must order dish - buttermilk pancakes with walnuts and bananas. The pancakes were so fluffy and the toppings were really fresh + the syrup was not too sweet. Omelettes were also amazing. I especially liked that they added a LOT of cheese!
