I was working in Montclair, and I asked someone who worked at the building I was at if there were any good lunch spots around. Roosters was highly recommended. I was not disappointed the chicken and fries were so flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend Roosters to anyone who wants great comfort

My experience with the Nashville Hot Chicken from this place fell far short of expectations. Despite ordering the 10-piece wings extra hot, the spice level was disappointingly not even mild. This was particularly frustrating given the restaurant's specialization in Nashville Hot Chicken. To compound matters, I endured a two hour-long wait for delivery via Ubereats, though I understand that's not entirely within the restaurant's control. Nevertheless, the overall experience left much to be desired. I’d like to add if I had to say I enjoyed anything from this meal, it would be the bread.

Waited 35 minutes for our order; when there were 3 workers just sitting around. They never “fired” up the oil but didn’t tell anyone and kept giving excuses.

Roosters was great I ordered the whole menu everything from the loaded fries, chicken wings, tenders and chicken sliders. Spice levels I had was “on fire” which packed a mean punch I would only suggest if you can tolerate really spicy heat but was not to over bearing. I had extra hot was not that hot at all tasted like seasoned chicken would suggest this heat level. I also had hot and medium spice levels which basically taste the same like fried chicken no heat. The chicken was crispy and fresh I would recommend to order ahead on app within 15 minutes of pickup it is a long line of ppl waiting for their food and their is literally no parking resturant is on a corner and montclair police keep hounding you to move your car. As far as sauces rooster sauce is a must try! Enjoy!Parking: Parking is a bit difficult you can double park but Montclair police is a problem!

Very disappointed. Not Nashville style chicken at all. If you're looking for juicy, moist, smothered chicken reminiscent of Nashville this is not the place to visit. I really wanted to love this establishment. The chicken wings were hard fried with a dry rub and the mac and cheese was similar to microwave Kraft, with less cheese. Save your money.

Incredibly overrated. Food was meh overall, chicken was barely hot despite specifically asking for hot (and most of the heat came from the sauce, not even the chicken itself), and definitely not worth the ridiculous wait time.

Wow! So good. Chicken was tender and juicy and the rooster sauce it's paired with was delicious. Definitely what we were looking for. Service was great, they helped with our sauce selection and explained the levels of spices. They also have a great selection of music playing. The only thing I would change is more drink options, at this time they only have soda & we gave it up for lent :/ so water & chicken for us!

We went to Roosters on a whim while walking around Montclaire. We were immediately greeted and had our order taken. We ordered the 3 tenders combo (1 naked 1 mild). The rooster sauce is very good.and the portions are good as well. The fries are very very good! Over all a great place.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp inside the restaurant for wheelchairs.
