Ordered turkey and 2 trays of food. When I went there to pick up, the Caucasian woman behind the counter was sooo rude. She made me feel like a moron when I asked a simple question. Then, when they made a mistake with my order, she didn’t even apologize. I’ll be taking my business to Mastriano’s moving forward where they are nice and treat their customers with respect.

This store is really special, and has easily grown into one of my top three favorite spots in Montclair. It certainly has the feel of days gone by in all the best of ways. The food is fresh, they have an immaculate menu of sandwiches (and this includes for vegetarians!) and ready-mades. They also have a really fantastic, specialized selection of dried pastas, snacks, sauces, jams, etc. My husband and I went for the first time earlier this month and we were really blown away by this gem. The staff and (who I presumed to be) the owner are courteous, clearly work hard, and are friendly. I asked for several different sandwiches, half a pound of their homemade turkey breast, and some premades, and it seemed to be during a rush hour. I had a question about their selections, and while the staff that was helping me didn't know the answer, she didn't blow over it and instead made sure to check with the owner. This was in the middle of rush hour and there was a strong and consistent line of people; the owner, in spite of all the running around and multitasking, made sure to get me an answer and responded in such a kind and friendly way. It really made me nostalgic for more specialty stores that are run by actual people instead of a generic, mass marketed, one stop capitalist shop. Truly, Rosario's reinforces the ideology of 'shop local.' Highly recommend!

Been coming for YEARS. WEEKLY. They messed up an order horribly. I called. And as expected. Got a nasty tude from MRS Rosario. You lost a loyal customer today. Maybe next time you will be nicer.Food is tremendous. Guess what. Lots of places with tremendous food that don't treat you like s***Update. Owner called back wanting to know who took the order. It was her. And she was so fast to blame the poor girl that made the sandwich.

I have been coming to Rosario's for 10+ years but yesterday was the first time I've bought his housemade roast beef. It will not be the last time. The beef is so tender and flavorful and it is cooked perfectly rare and sliced thinly with precision. I will never again buy grocery store roast beef.

I go to Rosarios twice a week for a variety of foods that are always fresh and outstanding. They also have a lot of other products that are hard to fine and are great additions to any meal. The people that work there are friendly and courteous.
Rosario's has top flight homemade mozzarella. Add the homemade roasted peppers and you are set for a treat. If I'm getting a sandwich, I go with chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella and broccoli rabe on a baguette drizzled with oil and balsamic reduction. It's delicious. Rosario's is also a great butcher shop. Their pin wheel sausage (chorizo parrillero for Argentinians) is very legit and so is the tri-tip cut (colita de cuadril). We've never gotten a bad cut of meat. We love this place so much we had it cater our Baby Shower (was a hit). My wife also asked for it as her first lunch in the post partum ward. Lastly, Rosario (the owner) is a great guy and small business owner I'm glad to support. PS I didn't even mention their homemade pesto which is a 10/10

I always get great sandwiches here. As expected, the meat and poultry seem a bit more expensive than a grocery store, but the quality is second to none. I come here all the time for various meats and lunches.

I just left there. Service, when I inquire on phone very respectful answer my question so thoroughly when I went inside. I knew exactly what came for was located. I bought more than that, organic chicken sausage and homemade marina sauce. My first time shopping there, I would go again.
