I've been wanting to go to this restaurant since it opened and we finally made it. We looked at the chef's tasting but didn't like the lack of choices so decided to go on Sunday for the a la carte. The space is lovely and cozy. They had a nice table for us as we were celebrating our anniversary. We brought a nice bottle of wine and started with the beets and the salsify. The beets were super smokey which was fine but after a couple of bites it was very overwhelming...
We had a beautiful experience dining at Sam’s Table! Every one of the 5 courses was delicious and had a surprising element. It’s clear that the chef is greatly talented but also has fun creating the dishes. Service was outstanding. You can bring your own wine or they have it here. The menu changes monthly. Can’t wait to be back!
Ate here on a rainy Sunday night and felt completely at home, in Sam’s cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The bread and butter were outrageously good - the butter was sweet against the flakey-and-salty-ness of the bread. The leeks with trout row were like the best leek soup of your life!! I will be thinking about that dish for a long time. We also started with the fluke in a sauce I could have drank straight from the plate. My hubs had the halibut and I had the duck, and we cleaned...
