Quality, but not prices, has gone down since they changed owners during the pandemic. Where once stood a case lined with fine French pastries now stands a random assortment of generic coffee shop pastries that lack the finesse that once made me love this place. I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich with a fried egg and the egg white was very underdone. I had big globs of raw egg white all over my plate, which was very unappetizing. Also, the "mashed avocado" looked and tasted more like that homogenous guacamole you can get pre-packaged at a grocery store. Service was quite nice, that was a plus, but also very slow. Took a long time to get our drinks

Sad I had to write this review. I love their pastries and their service is always great but I clearly asked for no bacon and had it repeated to me. I got home with my sandwhich and found this

Really enjoyed this small brunch spot. They had some cute decorations inside and also offered outdoor seating. Ordered the croissant sandwich with avocado and it was delicious. The portion size was generous and the owner was very nice. Will definitely be coming back to try their sweets.

Took time before a person took my order. Its ok you were busy.Coffee tasted diluted.Vanilla cupcake was extremely dry.Red velvet cupcake was also dry frosting was dense like a cream cheese, my plastic fork could barely cut through. Not a pleasant overall experience for us.

Hands down the best bakery in Montclair. Love the atmosphere. The backdrop they have up is perfect for couple pictures.

Very delicious and flavourful bakery. One of my favorite cafes. And I also find it very cozy and warm.

Oh. My. Goodness.!!! Where do I begin! Absolutely amazing from beginning to end! This place is located on busy Bloomfield Ave so you already know the deal with the parking situation lol But I found street parking in a nabe not too far away I can't believe it's taken me this long to check this place out. What a gem! Food was fantastic and I didn't realize that they have an IMPRESSIVE (with capital I) dessert spread! So difficult to decide what goodies to get! I like to try several different things when I try a new place to determine if I will become a regular patron, and this place, my friends, checks off all the boxes! It's that good! Let me start with the service. I'm not certain but it appears that this might be family run. The young lady that served us was so pleasant and had a very cute disposition, although my order challenged her, she hung in there and delivered! They don't have an extensive menu but the items are all equally intriguing so you must step out and try something different. I had the ever so popular pastrami egg and cheddar on croissant and boy oh boy was that sandwich delicious! My friend had the salmon with poached eggs and avocado and she liked that as well! I also got two smoothies, and they both were delicious, Green Goddess and Artemis made with pineapple and mint, so refreshing! My friend had a berry smoothie and was pleased as well. Now for the DESSERT! Omg pastries galore! Trouble for someone with a terrible sweet tooth like myself I settled on the orange cake and that was SO GOOD, that I'm still thinking about it and tasting it days later! I would go out of my way for this! It's THAT serious lol! Let me end by saying that if you are in the area, check it out if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed!

Benn here 3 times now and it has become a favorite in Montclair. Avacado/egg on ciabatta is perfection. Tried three different smoothies, all good, but berry is delicious. We have had same waitress each time and she is very friendly and sweet. Definitely recommend.

This a cute small bakery you can sit down and eat or take to go. The staff is very friendly and will answer any question you have about every they have on display. The cookies were good and the coconut circles were great, I forgot the name of it but it has figs and it was tasty.

The baked goods are amazing, no matter the time of day. Always tastes fresh and made with love. They've got giant cookies, giant coffee cakes, generous cake portions, and a cute display of tiny treats, too. Nothing ever too sweet. You can taste only goodness. A nice vibe inside for patrons to enjoy their stay on a chilly night, fun seating outside next to a mural on sunny day. One star off because service was spotty. One day above and beyond, another day a bunch of "I don't knows" when asked about flavors or ingredients. One day served with real dinnerware, another day all disposables for dine-in. That isn't stopping me from coming back, though! Napoleon is a favorite for every visit, plus samplings of other goodies.

Friendly, courteous, helpful staff. Vast variety of sweet, delicious treats. Gluten-free options. Reasonable prices. Very clean establishment. Convenient hours, including an extra hour on Saturday nights for those seeking a better option for dessert. Convenient location at the intersection of Park and Bloomfield Ave, placing it at the heart of town center. Good destination for breakfast/brunch. Great destination for dessert.

This place is all around awesome! First time there. The food was so delicious ??. My cousin left her glasses there and we called later that evening and Joy helped us out. This is what I call customer service! In this day in age this is a lost art. We’ll definitely be coming back.

I love this place! Before I even get to the food I have to say the staff is amazing and always so bright and positive! The dirty Chai is so good! The pastrami croissantwich is perfect and always made just the way I want it. You have to come here!
