I hosted my Ladies Who Lead brunch at The St. Clair yesterday, and I could not be more impressed. From the moment we arrived, the hostess and staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of. A special thank-you to Leo, our waiter, who delivered exceptional service the entire time — attentive, warm, and on point with every detail.
And the food… absolutely delicious. The French toast, the autumn hash, the oatmeal pancakes, and that biscuit — the biscuit deserves its own shout-out — everything was outstanding. Every plate was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.
The aesthetics and ambiance of the restaurant were just perfect for our event: warm, stylish, and inviting. It created the ideal backdrop for a memorable afternoon with an incredible group of women.
I highly recommend The St. Clair for brunch, events, or anytime you want a great meal paired with amazing service. I’ll definitely be returning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ wow, incredible seasonal fare in Montclair NJ. Make a reservation and if you want to have a quiet dinner maybe consider going on the earlier side because it gets packed after about 6pm!

Loved the food a d vi e of the restaurant. The cornbread was out of this world. The hamburger was cooked perfect and the meat was the best I had in a burger. Do not miss the crispy rice appetiser. Enjoy!

The food at The Saint Clair is really good — fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for. But man, they are so slow. The first time we went, they were packed, so I figured the wait made sense. But on our second visit, we were literally the first ones there and it still took forever for our food to come out. If they could just speed things up a bit, this place would easily be five stars.

Went last night with my wife, and really wanted to enjoy it. The service was great, the food was good, but it was so loud that I couldn’t hear a word she said across our table. I’d consider going back and sitting upstairs, but unless you are with a big, boisterous group I’d steer well clear of the downstairs for a weekend dinner. Totally ruined our dining experience.

Had a 8pm reservation. By 830 we walked out. Never going back. Montclair has too many good restaurants that manage time better to deal with this.

5 stars all around! I really can’t say enough about our positive experience. I don’t often write reviews but I had to. The atmosphere was beautiful, all of the staff was friendly and accommodating. Our server Mary was splendid. We actually to meet chef Leia and she was so charming :).
We started with the cornbread, the tuna crudo and the pork belly. The cornbread was cozy and sweet and salty. The tuna crudo was spectacular!!! Punchy flavor and the combo with grapes is genius. The pork belly was CRISPY yet tender. For entrees we had the burger and pork chop. The burger was luscious and had such great flavor. The pork chop was juicy and the polenta was freaking bomb.
We will surely be back!

Great experience. Service was very friendly and attentive. Really loved the atmosphere. Food was fantastic. Cornbread was amazing! Probably one of the best pork chops I've had at a restaurant. Perfectly prepared. Halibut was delicious too. Looking forward to coming back and bringing friends.

While the menu and service were impeccable, we were slightly disappointed that there was no pasta dish on the menu We were also very disappointed that we were charged at 3% service charge for using our debit card which we may very clear to our server. Our receipt showed that a debit card was used yet an illegal surcharge was still applied.

Food is amazing was a little odd. The haddock one piece was small. Other piece was double the size meal size didn’t appear consistent but the food was fabulous.

I’ve had dinner at The Saint Clair twice now and both times the service and food was outstanding. Make sure to try the Roasted Beets appetizer and Burger. A great addition to Montclair!
