Came into Toro after passing it quite a few times driving by. Really glad we stopped in. Shame that it’s a bit off the beaten path as more people need to try it.
Enjoyed our meal - the portion sizes are very generous.
Seaweed salad was great, tempura super light, sushi well prepared. Will stop in again soon

Great sushi spot in the area! I've only ordered out from here and place my order in advance over the phone. The staff is very friendly upon arriving and have had no issues as far as food quality and order accuracy. The food is excellent and I personally really enjoy their brown sugar boba. Tastes fantastic and always look forward to getting one! I've only order rolls from here so I can't speak to their other items but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend if you're looking for sushi and some good boba!

Came by Sunday for a small dinner with my kid. I ordered two specialty rolls which were recommended by the waitress, the Montclair roll and the crispy rice squares. I really like spicy and these two rolls were just great for me, the Montclair roll has kani and fish in it and the rice squares were nice and crispy. Ordered my kid a movie box, the portion was pretty big and there were variety kinds of food for my kid to try, and she enjoyed it a lot! I would def recommend this place for friends and family members to try out.
I have eaten here multiple times and has always been amazing. Tonight the crispy rice squares were hard as rocks. When called to let them know and ask to be reimbursed since it was not edible. I was meet with rudeness and dismissal saying that’s how the roll is and they are busy. I tired to explain that this isn’t the first time I have eaten this role and it was made wrong. I said I would take a new one but that is a bit of a drive during rush hour. Claimed they didn’t know how to reimburse and that they were busy. Said the manager wasn’t there and couldn’t do anything for me and hung up on me. This is $15 for a role with only 5 pieces! We ordered 2! The customer service was horrible and to be honest has made me never want to eat here again and ensure that all my friend and family do not eat here either.

Did not receive food to review… I’m sure it was excellent. I live in Washington state and accidentally ordered and payed on the website for the one in NJ. It was a very expensive mistake on my part, but the manager stated she did not own the website and could not give me a refund. Maybe it’s true? She could have offered to send me a refund in mail maybe? I get that the food was already made possibly, but she could have at least offered to refund part of it since I got nothing for my money. Keep the difference from cost vs menu price maybe? I sure hope someone is enjoying my $100 + tip order of sushi ?
