Came by Sunday for a small dinner with my kid. I ordered two specialty rolls which were recommended by the waitress, the Montclair roll and the crispy rice squares. I really like spicy and these two rolls were just great for me, the Montclair roll has kani and fish in it and the rice squares were nice and crispy. Ordered my kid a movie box, the portion was pretty big and there were variety kinds of food for my kid to try, and she enjoyed it a lot! I would def recommend this place for friends and family members to try out.

I have eaten here multiple times and has always been amazing. Tonight the crispy rice squares were hard as rocks. When called to let them know and ask to be reimbursed since it was not edible. I was meet with rudeness and dismissal saying that’s how the roll is and they are busy. I tired to explain that this isn’t the first time I have eaten this role and it was made wrong. I said I would take a new one but that is a bit of a drive during rush hour. Claimed they didn’t know how to reimburse and that they were busy. Said the manager wasn’t there and couldn’t do anything for me and hung up on me. This is $15 for a role with only 5 pieces! We ordered 2! The customer service was horrible and to be honest has made me never want to eat here again and ensure that all my friend and family do not eat here either.

Did not receive food to review… I’m sure it was excellent. I live in Washington state and accidentally ordered and payed on the website for the one in NJ. It was a very expensive mistake on my part, but the manager stated she did not own the website and could not give me a refund. Maybe it’s true? She could have offered to send me a refund in mail maybe? I get that the food was already made possibly, but she could have at least offered to refund part of it since I got nothing for my money. Keep the difference from cost vs menu price maybe? I sure hope someone is enjoying my $100 + tip order of sushi ?

My family was there when I came. They had eaten appetizer already, so when I came, I ordered Miso soup and iced tea. It took less than 5 minutes for my first order to arrive; great service. Likewise, in other orders we had, service was very food. The waitress checked on us every once in a while to see if we needed anything. If the child (from another table), who was having tantrums, was not there, I would have given a "5 stars" for the atmosphere. My grandson was with us, but he was quiet and well-behaved. Toro Sushi has good selections of food as well as beverages. There was not much people there on a Sunday afternoon.

My sister and I decided last minute to go out to dinner and we landed at Toro Sushi. I actually used Google assistant to call the restaurant for me and reserve a table 15 minutes before our arrival. Toro was half full when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday but, by 8pm it was full so, our timing was perfect. Everything we ordered was excellent... edamame, tuna avocado salad, Congo roll, New York roll, tuna roll and salmon roll. Service was wonderful. We weren't rushed and food came out quickly. I'm definitely bringing my husband here the next time we visit my sister.

I decided to randomly try this place on my way to work because I’ve been seeing it often when I’m heading home but they are usually closed around the time I passed by. The place is gorgeous in my opinion, smells lovely, and had a very relaxing vibe. I got a salmon avocado and a California roll. It was $12 which is well priced, I also got a little soup and salad to prep my stomach. The salmon in that roll made me want to do ascending cause it’s hard to find a good sushi place when you’re picky like me about it but this was so good I wanted to be so overdramatic but it would be genuine. ?
Vegetarian options: They have options that are considered vegetarian but I didn’t look to closely due to being in a rush
Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp but the doors may be a bit difficult to manage.

I've ordered from Toro Sushi several times and stopped in for dinner a few years ago. I wanted something fast but a luxury treat after my work shift last week, so I ordered delivery for the Tekkadon. Outstanding. Fresh, delivered fast, and as flavorful as you'd expect from one of the highest-rated Sushi and Asian restaurants in Montclair. I have tried a lot of Asian fusion cuisine and love trying new country and regional styles besides sushi. So, the tuna is remarkable when you consider returning a week later and leaving a review. If you want some of the freshest tuna, sashimi, and much more Japanese cuisine in our area, they deliver, and the restaurant interior is lovely. ? ♥️
Vegetarian options: Fish and seafood lovers can have a blast, and the California rolls and Miso soup are high-quality and the standard availability for vegetarians. Ask the chef and leave a tip! ?
Dietary restrictions: Ask the staff, and they will accommodate food allergies to the best of their ability as a business that prepares and serves fresh seafood on-site. ?
Parking: Free after 7 pm! Otherwise, the many spaces on the street should be fine if you travel in only one or two cars for your small group. Check peak hours for larger parties! ?
