3rd time have gone , ordered steak med rare, came back raw, when they brought it back , tasted like leather, waitress told me it was an end cut and the meat is usually tough, why serve this in the first place, I am not paying 40.00 for a steak you cannot chew, I am never going back, 3 times this has happened , sad , I have gone here for 30 years, sad is all!!!

What can I say. Have been a customer for many years nothing has changed but the year and date. Still the same Steak goodness Wedge Salads and French Onion Soup. Service is so on the money nothing less than perfect. The ambience is unique and original giving the feel of an old time classic place.

Food was good quality! Staff was friendly. We got a $200 credit/ debit card that I tried to use but they didn't accept it. I think the staff simply didn't know how to use it. That turned me a little sour on the overall experience

Located right in Morris Plains nearby Carmel Haifa and an ice cream shop. Expect to see a long line on weekends as they don't take reservations. Seeing the constant long lines, and given that I had several recommendations from friends, I admittedly had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately, felt it was just ok at best. Despite coming in before 5pm, the place was extremely crowded. Started off with some drinks and appetizers which were done well. I had to get the garlic bread given how many other reviewers recommended it. It was quite good, although had a bit too much butter for my taste. It comes with a good chunk of garlic, although in my opinion you can always add more. Unfortunately that was where the positives end. Maybe we just got the wrong items after that, but both my wife and I were quite disappointed with the food quality especially given the price tags. Additionally service was not their strong point either, as our waitress essentially disappeared after placing the order and even getting refills took much longer than needed. I understand they were busy but I did expect more from this place. That being said if you come here, I'd just order what the other reviewers suggest, seems like I may have just had an off night experience.

Haven't visited in awhile... so ordered classics, onion soup, garlic bread. Demonic steak and burger.Can't go wrong... although miss the huge size of steak. Burger price still extremely reasonable.Thank you for consistency. Prospering all these years.

My husband and I had our Anniversary dinner a couple days ago. To say the food has changed is an understatement. My husband ordered the burger and a side of potatoes. I tried one and it tasted like pure old oil. My husband tried it and had to spit it out. His burger was not cooked to medium well as he stated, more like rare. It was very bland and dry with absolutely no flavor at all. The soda tasted like there was cloves in it. The service was horrible because a very large party was there. I will definitely never return to this establishment. Complete waste of money. The waiter did take the potatoes off the bill and we weren’t going to send anything back because the service was painfully long.
Ordered the chili, steak salad, 24oz steak coleslaw mushrooms and peanut butter pie. Great family atmosphere, good food joanna was our waitress great service.
