Today I stopped into Effin Egg after my shift. I was immediately greeted at the door and met with a cool environment. After trying the Han Solo burger, plane Jane pancakes, and an egg bowl. I can happily saw Effin Egg is Effin awesome! Definitely recommended for breakfast or brunch!

The food tasted old and cold to the point that I was not able to eat it. It was a waste of my time and money. Very disappointed.

First time coming here and absolutely disappointed. The tater tots were old, dry and cold. The eggs had no flavor what so ever, the black beans were not fresh maybe canned and the worst part, my bowl had liquid in it?????? I will never eat here again. Food was tossed in the garbage after four bites.

Effin Egg was effin expensive for what we paid for… like other reviewers, all of the food left something to be desired, and at $35, I wouldn’t return.1. Tater Tots | - absolutely horrible. If you look at the picture, they’re colorless and had 0 taste like literally nothing (no salt, spices, etc). They also tasted like they were 3 days old and reheated in the microwave. Absolutely DO NOT recommend getting them.2. Spicy Brisket Bowl | Rating: 4.5/5 - flavorful but the portion size was smaller than my husband’s hand… for $14, the value wasn’t there for eggs and brisket.3. the OG Sandwich (without the Mexican sauce) | - aside from the bacon, the sandwich was just “meh”. Lacked flavor - yes, I did omit the Mexican sauce it came with (there was so description of what was in it so I was wary at 9 AM), but the sandwich just had nothing special to it.4. Illy Coffee | - high quality coffee at least!Overall, it’s not even great breakfast or even hangover food. It wasn’t greasy which was great but for the price, $35 for eggs, tater tots and 1 coffee? Thats ridiculous. You also self serve at the kiosks so there’s little interaction with the staff. There’s 6 chairs total (3 tables) with an occupancy of 7, so not a huge place if you’re looking to sit down and eat.I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon. It’s a shame because the vibe is there, the food is just not.
Parking: There are 3 spots total In front of the restaurant on the same side, otherwise you need to park close to the Morristown Green and walk or on the opposite side of a busy road. It’s also metered parking.

The food was solid however it left was wanting a little more for each thing we ordered. The burrito bowl was a fair portion size, but it said it has bacon and I only found like 2 tiny pieces of bacon in my bowl. On the sandwich it says it has chipotle mayo but you couldn’t taste it.The side tater tots are a definite do not order!!! They were over cooked to the point of being hard and extremely salty. For reference I usually like to add salt to my food and I’m saying the tots were over salt which says something. The food looks pretty but for the price point, I’d rather go to a local bagel store and I would be able to get something very comparable for a fraction of the price.

Easily the best egg sandwich in town. Agree with other reviews that it's expensive but a gormet sandwich with medium eggs and lots of options. This is Jersey, so better bring your game for the egg sandwich and they do. Do NOT eat in the car. You will need to be sitting with napkins for this one.

Great late night egg sandwich spot. Giant egg between brioche cooked perfectly, and people inside were very nice and helpful. Would 100% come back to this place.
Has a great experience here. Staff was friendly, service was fast (8:30am on a Saturday). I got the Effin Healthy bowl, subbing for regular scrambled eggs. The portion was huge and filling! I’m visiting from out of town and want to go back to try more offerings!
Vegetarian options: Can easily make any offering vegetarian and some menu offerings are already vegetarian.

Came here with my wife and we both loved it! Not only was the food great and the ambiance great, but the customer service was too. I felt apart of their family and like our opinion was something they truly cared about. We met one of the owners and he was amazing as well. You can see from my account that I don’t leave many reviews on places but after leaving here my wife and I knew we had to leave a review because this place deserves more customers! Thank you so much Effin Egg for our experience and we will 100% be returning!

Extremely poor customer service. I tried to switch an old and stale cinnamon roll and worker kept arguing how it was made today. It was as hard as a rock.

For the price point it’s a bit high. The claim is they use better quality ingredients. Food is good but the portions are smaller. The build of the sandwiches could use a bit more care. One side of the sandwich was just egg and the other side was all of the bacon. Home fries could be better. The ones I got were past well done and hard as a rock. The intent of the food is there but the execution could use some improvement. Good luck trying to eat in. There’s not much seating space.
