There’s a saying that if you want to know how clean a restaurant’s kitchen is, you should check the restroom. By that measure, this place left me with some concerns as the restroom was quite dirty. I also noticed that the cooks and most of the staff are not Japanese, which may or may not matter depending on your expectations.

That said, the food itself was good. The atmosphere, however, is quite loud, so this may not be the best choice if...

Very impressed with Ju-Ichi Japanese Restaurant dining experience. We came before 6 pm with a large group knowing we might have to wait but was able to be seated in less than 30 mins.
Our group ordered to dine “family-style” to allow us to sample a wide range of dishes. The rolls, and hand rolls are very good as were the bowls of udon and other dishes we’d sampled.
Service was quick and efficient.

A fantastic find in town! The ramen and dumplings were authentic, fresh, and full of flavour. Everything we ordered was delicious. They don't serve alcohol, but you can easily grab a drink from the shop next door if you'd like one with your meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxing dinner. We'll definitely be back!
