I’ve been wanting to drive out to The Colonial Grill for years, and finally decided to make the drive. I absolutely wish I came out sooner!! The food is phenomenal!! I got the steak and fries and the Colonial Cheesesteak for my bf, and we loved both of them! The sauces are AMAZINGGG, and an absolute must with the food. The only downside is that there is a bit of a wait to order (I mean understandable with how great the food is) but worth it, and the food comes out pretty quickly once the order is in. The service is fantastic, the crew is so kind and sincere, you can definitely feel the love they put into their family business. Can’t wait to come out again and try some of their other food items!!

The flavors were there and it had the makings of a great meal. I had the steak and fries and man were the flavors on point but there were a couple things that threw me off. The oily and soggy fries were a no for me (tells me the oil is old or should be changed) and the steak was too chewy (even tho I asked for medium). That truffle chimichurri sauce is divine…. I’d buy that on its own if they sold it honestly. The setting is nice, right by a park with a water fountain. Maybe I should’ve got the cheesesteak or asked for medium rare? Fries would still be a hard pass. I don’t know if I’d come back. The sauce might make me.

Drove 90 mins to the Hoboken location, was a 90 minute wait from standing on line to receiving food…I regret nothing! Was in food coma the whole ride home! Had left overs for the next day! Got the steak and fries, cheesesteak de maduro and 2 drinks…spent around $40. Don’t drive, speed to grab this ASAP!

Went today with one of my good friends and we waited about 45 mins in line. Let me tell you it was worth every minute if not more. It's a father and son owned business and you can tell by every bite you take, the flavor of the steak and fries was out of this world. Between the meat or the sauce or the fries everything was amazing.

Worth the wait! Came a little before they opened at 12 and can say it was worth the wait. The customer service is top notch, with the staff truly appreciating their customers. Opted for the steak and fries (extra sauce) and a side of tostones. Everything was delicious! I look forward to trying their other menu items.

Food truck has a long line. Waited 30 minutes to order then 15 minutes to get the food. Simple menu. Ordered the steak and fries. The platter was too oily, the fries on the bottom were soaked in grease. Steak is good though. $19 for platter.
