Love this place. Been to JA 30xs & this place does make authentic for real. Rice & peas are sooooo freakn good. I'm a veg & I love their cabbage & scotch bonnet. Candied yams perfect. Love the woman that always helps us she's very good @ her job. So fresh & my hubby's jerk chicken smelled so fresh white meat with charred edges from the grill.
Great food here. I loved the oxtail.

Banging. That’s the only word I can think of to describe how great the food was here. Me and my friend both ordered the jerk chicken with plantains (I had white rice and macaroni and cheese on the side).
Firstly I’ll say- the portions are hugeeee and hefty which is a good thing for me. I couldn’t even finish 1/4 of the container because it was a lot.Definitely worth the price.
Secondly- The flavor is amazing, not overly spicy like some Caribbean spots, and not all dry either. Just right.
Overall, the food was 10/10(and my friend also really liked it too)- I don’t have any complaints. And the wait time wasn’t long at all. I’m from NY so I needed to find a new, good Caribbean/ Jamaican food spot in NJ, and they did not disappoint. I’m so glad I live so close to here!

Food is always great. The rice is the most fluffiest rice I’ve ever eaten, and the plantains are always so sweet! The most authentic Jamaican restaurant in the area! Chin at the front register is always so Pleasant!
Vegetarian options: I am vegan so I always get the rice and peas, steamed vegetables and plantains!

Great customer service.
I just ordered here and was nervous because of the mixed reviews but my friend and I decided to give it a try. We both really liked our meal and we will be back. I got the curry shrimp, cabbage and white rice and he got the oxtail, cabbage, rice and peas. We ordered our food around 6:30pm and they close at 8pm so they were low on rice and peas and no yams. So only one of us could get the rice and peas and neither of us the yams but understandable due to them close soon. We did order a side a Mac n cheese which we personally did not like but to each their own. Overall I definitely will be returning!

The chicken was so dry I was looking for the instructions for how much water I need to add to rehydrate it. Got a side of mac and cheese, way too overcooked and poor salt content. The sides have up charges which are not listed on the board. You could do worse but you'd really have to really try.

Was looking forward to the food after seeing the reviews. Ordered a medium brown stew chicken. Wanted candied yams and was told they didn't have them. Asked for Mac and cheese and was told they didn't have that either. Settled for cabbage which was ok. The brown stew chicken didn't taste like brown stew chicken. It lacked flavor and tasted like regular baked chicken. It wasn't nasty but it didn't cure my craving for brown stew chicken. All in all I was disappointed and I won't be back. Service was good as was the atmosphere. Establishment looked very clean and I liked the fact that it was spacious and had ample seating.*edit Since having eaten at this establishment and having the owner having seemingly having taken offense at my review. I will say I've been eating "authentic Jamaican food for over 20 years" I have eaten at over 20 Jamaican establishments and myself is also a chef who specializes in cooking Jamaican cuisine. I tried to be very honest and fair in my review but as far as the criticism and the fact that the owner stating that I ate more than half the platter I stated in my review that the food wasn't nasty. Also I paid my hard earned money for said food so why would I waste it? Again I said the brown stew chicken that I received didn't taste like brown stew chicken but more like baked chicken. It wasn't nasty but it also didn't quell my craving for brown stew chicken. As I said before I'm actually a chef and my own brown stew chicken is world's apart from the brown stew chicken that I received since your establishment can't seem to take a positive and honest review. I've cooked for over 20 years and what I will tell you is one your open your entire menu should be available. Í wanted Mac and cheese and candied yams and neither was available to me despite it being lunch time and after 2pm in the afternoon. Maybe instead of being so defensive next time you'll actually take the time to listen to a paying customer and improve upon your shortcomings as opposed to being defensive. By the way Jamaic's and Ignite brown stew chicken was much better since you claim I don't know what authentic Jamaican cuisine taste like.

I was able to stop at a Restaurant called "Best Taste Caribbean Cuisine" in Mount Holly NJ,
I must say it was Delicious, Flavorful, and mouth-watering.
The food was outstanding! I had the Oxtails with rice & peas with plantain!!!
I must truly say Every bite I placed into my mouth was full of flavor and cooked to perfection.
"Hands down, some of the most delicious food I've eaten lately!
They utilize only the freshest ingredients and ensure that each dish is properly prepared. The Oxtails were very memorable. "Must try!"
