We had brunch delivered for a baby shower. They came 20 mins late. We were missing items and the canned juice was expired.
The food we got was very good. Everyone raved about their sausage links.

I walked into Christophers to give their hot menu a try as the sandwiches are pretty good. There was a sign saying no refunds and to try before you buy so I greeted the woman and asked her to sample the mac & cheese. She gave me a nasty look, and then proceeded to tell me with a sarcastic tone that it would taste like mac & cheese, so I just stared at her until she gave me a sample. Not only was the mac and cheese DISGUSTING but I found her to be extremely rude. Do not recommend.

Don’t call in orders. Called in an order for two cold hoagies, was told 20 minutes. Showed up 20 minutes later and after waiting five minutes to be helped was told the order wasn’t ready as the employee moved on to the next guest. While waiting an additional 30 minutes, several guests placed and received their orders in the time that I was waiting. Advertising that the chef was on Hell’s Kitchen seems meaningless when the kitchen seems to be this organized that making sandwiches is this hard. Apparently a functional ticket system is too much to ask for.

Edit: 54 minutes from when my order was called in to when it was ready.

I had some business going on around the area, and i saw the restaurant would be opening within the minute so i walked in… i saw the food treys were still covered so i took a seat and waited for the servers to be at the food bar.

I waited for about 6 minutes, and then an employee who spoke kindly said “if you’re not gonna order you need to leave…. Sorry not coming from me but our boss” and i understood and then told him i had been sitting there waiting for someone to tend to the serving.

And to be honest.. the food isn’t even that good to be acting like its some kind of sanctuary. Soon as i was met with that kind of approach i was tempted to go to the papa johns down the sidewalk. Instead of being eager to kick someone out of your place of business.. how about “hey how can i help you today?” Yk customer service 101

My experience… honestly the workers themselves are very kind and understanding people. But that old man who for some reason hates life.. ruins the whole place for me.

Food was decent… there lasagna could use some work. I enjoyed there meatballs and like i said before the employees 💯

Extremely Disappointed!
As a previous patron of Christopher's Deli in Mount Holly since they originally opened, I very seldom missed a week without at least one entrée takeout. In my opinion, the food quality began to decline after COVID, as it was obvious they were using a different vendor to compensate for the rising inflation. I tried several different entrees during this time, and each paled in comparison to pre-COVID standards. What a shame!
I decided to give them another try after learning they were under new management and had acquired an acclaimed chef. I ordered one of my favorite dishes - the eggplant parmesan and one meatball on the side. The meatball size was much smaller, which was fine since the price equated to the size. However, the meatball was cold inside, and the eggplant parmesan contained stringy, uneatable pieces. I was really hoping for a Christopher's comeback, but was extremely disappointed. Probably my own fault for ordering since I was the only person in the store during lunch hour, smh

Downhill is being nice for the current ownership. Never again. 25 years I ate there once a week, came back after a couple years. Drove for nothing.

I have been a long time customer of Christopher's Deli and today they have lost my business. We ordered 2 hoagies and wow 2 previous hoagies could feed 4 people easily but today the sandwich barely has any meat in it. I literally took the sandwich apart and it had ONE slice of each meat and one slice of cheese on each half. Such a disappointment Christopher's HAD the best sandwiches filled with so much meat but now it's less than half. No idea what happened but the prices are still the same. I would rather pay more for the same old sandwiches of the past than the same for a horrible hoagie. This is not the same Christopher's that it was year ago. Not to mention I asked for no onion on one of the sandwiches and both had onion. I expressed this desire and the receipt said no onion on one but someone neglected the request. Good place gone bad. Sorry to see you go.

Got charged $15 for a basic hoagie. Prices never used to be anywhere near that. You definitely lost a customer by overcharging. Bad business move

Have been a customer at Christopher's for over 20 years, and could always count on quality food and service whether it be the hoagies, hot items, or their catering service. It had been quite a while since I had gone, but started back up about a year ago, going in for their Italian Hoagie. I immediately noticed the bread was different, and it was a much smaller sandwich. I have always loved their lasagna, so I went in and got some. It was so beyond disappointing, and absolutely NOTHING like it used to be! It was a soupy mess with what seemed to be a slice of cheese on top. To be honest, I'm not sure I ever even saw a noodle. It didn't even resemble lasagna. I also was very surprised that the bread was completely different. It was the tiniest flat roll that probably wasn't even two bites; also, tasted very stale. It used to come with a small slice of either Italian or French bread and always tasted fresh. It makes me so sad to see this place fall so far down hill.

It is such a shame to see what this former staple has become under the new ownership. Removing main items from the menu, raising prices while also shrinking to go containers, hiring too few staff. I would eat lunch here 2/3 times a week for nearly 30 years, spending who knows how much money over that time. Sadly, do not think I will be returning.

EDIT: I appreciated the owners response to my original post and the use of EVOO and grass fed butter and decided to give it another shot. The disappointment continues...

$16 for one serving of chicken and rice? even without a veggie. plus, this lemon chicken recipe was subpar compared to the previous lemon chicken that was served. why change it? I used to be able to get lunch here for $10-12 and it would last me for two lunches. What I just received could barely cover todays lunch and was more money. also, the bread was stale and hard and has been that way since not getting bread from cacias. For these prices and the quality of the recipe I just had, it will be hard to find myself back here

Have been ordering at this place for my entire life; my father and mother went the first time they opened. My blue collar father would eat here 2-3 times a week for literally 20 years, ever since the new owners, the food has continually gone down hill. The hoagies are now a portion of the size they used to be, any meat you get is either dry, too fatty or just not good. We got a salad, half the lettuce was horribly wilted. The meatloaf was SO salty, that I a person who over salts anything couldn’t eat it, and neither would my dogs, the meatballs were hard as a rock and had no flavor, and the baked ziti was so sweet it was disgusting. My entire family used to love Christopher’s, and now this will officially be our last purchase. If you’re used to eating here for years, I promise you it’s nothing like it used to be. Don’t get it.

Incredibly disappointed, attempted several times to purchase rice balls, (a Christopher's staple) only to find out they are no longer on the menu. I got the chicken parm instead, it was terrible, stringy and tough with little or no cheese. I will definitely miss the old Christopher's.

Would love to have the old owners back. Got sandwitchs last week and they were so bad that my dogs would not even eat them. Had to throw them in the trash
