Terrible experience! Terrible food!
ORDER SOMEWHERE ELSE. I ordered a LARGE oxtail platter and was given 3 oxtails. I literally counted. When I called and asked why that was and if I could get more I was told no and that they had to give less oxtails bc they’re expensive. ??? I’ve gotten oxtails from so many other restaurants in the area and they all give a correct portion of food - all dealing with the same expensive oxtail price. What type of excuse. $27 for 3 oxtails? Incredibly wrong, they could have handled it better by 1 notifying customers they would have to give a smaller amount and if they are okay with that, 2 up the price and explain why, or 3 just don’t sell it bc clearly it’s too expensive for them properly serve. Why do I have to tell you how to run a business? But to try and sneak serve customers that? Disrespectful. Did get a refund that wasted my day since I had to drive another 30 minutes on the road.
Excellent food and prices
The food was so good, might be a little wait but totally worth it. If anything call and order ahead. I got the oxtails, rice and peas, with cabbage. It was sooo flavorful, reminded me of my dad’s cooking.
Jerk chicken was funky disgusting rubbery inedible complete waste of money. This place is a poor excuse for a Jamaican restaurant. It’s very sad how their standards have gone down.
Delicious brown stew chicken and cabbage. Great service and nice people. I have been going there for several years. My go to place for Jamaican food.
Ordered on uber eats. I regret it $82
Oxtail small portions
Plantain butter as hell
Jerk chicken dry as hell
Rice dry no gravy came with this jawn
I LOVE YOUR BROWN STEWED CHICKEN, BUT SOMETHING IN THE RECIPE HAS CHANGED IN THE LAST 8 MONTHS, DONT GET ME WRONG IT IS STILL VERY GOOD BUT IT'S NOT THE SAME ITS MUCH SWEETER, PLEASE GO BACK TO YOUR OLD RECIPE THAT WE ALL LOVE SO MUCH
I was in the area for a specific shop in the village and passed this restauraunt. My nose paused me for a moment and forced me to back track after my shopping. I ordered the small jerk chicken entree which came with 2 pieces of chicken, rice & beans, & cabbage. I paid a little under $10 for what was one of the most filling and delicious jerk chicken dishes I've had. I couldn't even make it out of the parking lot before i devoured this dish. Sometimes you have to follow your nose to find magic.

My new "old" favorite place for Jamaican fare. Deb’s had previously been located at the old train depot a few years back on Madison Ave. Stepping inside and enjoying the Jerk Chicken and warm friendly service was a pleasure for the body and the soul. The dishes are prepared to order so sit down and enjoy the music while you are savor the thought of Delicious meal that awaits your taste buds. So happy to see an "old Friend" back in business and providing nourishment for the soul. Located in the downtown area there is ample free parking in the municipal lots. You won’t be disappointed the freshly prepared meals are sure to delight.

I didn’t do anything to that lady for her to have such a nasty look on her face, I walked out.…she needs to relax her face it’s so uninviting… you can’t even pick your sides, the food is not that good for her to have that demeanor… i’m walking into that business waving at her and she’s looking at me like I’m a serial killer. Goodbye. The first time I didn’t like her attitude. 2nd time going there & won’t go back.

This is our go-to place for Jamaican food. I really don't understand the negative reviews. The wings are amazing. If you think you're getting fried, buffalo-style wings-- so some place else. Jerk wings aren't like that. They melt in your mouth, slow-cooking that is just the best. The beef patties (and chicken, and veg, and any patty really) are tender, flaky, and bring me back to my college days (when I lived off similar patties from a different place-- but these are a thousand times better). While the service isn't "fast"-- it's not meant to be. It's not fast food, but it's quick enough to order & eat during a standard lunch break-- and friendly, too. And we've ordered in & ordered take-out-- the service is always consistent.
July Update: since the last review, we tried the curried goat. OMG It is my new favorite thing on the menu. As I said before-- everything we've ordered is consistent & amazing.

I ordered rice and gravy so I expect gravy and they ladled about a teaspoon worth on top, and the cabbage has no flavor and tastes like a bag of frozen mixed vegetables with cabbage added to it, you can see the bagged frozen vegetables in it. Even the plantains were burnt. Ugh so disgusting I eat Jamaican food all the time and this is hands down the worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had. I recommend going elsewhere for Jamaican food because this place ain’t it.
