Amazing cheeses teak and sides. Cheeses teak was traditional Philly style, except that it's served on a round roll - that is not a problem, though... If anything, it's easier to cram into your maw. I had mine traditional style with Wiz and fried onions. The owner of this location was exceptionally friendly, and the service was very good. All the seating is outside so either be prepared for outdoor dining or take it for takeout. Highly recommended for authentic taste. The fries and chicken "donkey tails" are delicious too!

OMG!! This was my first visit to this Donkey’s Place in Mount, Laurel, NJ and I had the BEST customer service experience ever!! The girls were a ray of sunshine, smiles and super friendly! Then I met Jim who was just as nice, friendly with the biggest smile ever!!This is a takeout only spot with plenty of outdoor seating and lots of free parking.The foods smell absolutely AMAZING and SUPER delicious ? !!!?????YES!!! I do recommend Donkey’s Place to my family, friends and, NOW, the World ? too!!! Check them out!!

My coworker told me that this is the best Philly cheesesteak and I finally was driving through the area on a trip to Philly, so I had to stop.I'm no expert, but I can say this was very good and I'm glad I finally tried it. I loved the non-traditional roll. The addition of poppy seeds was great.I was wishing they had some indoor seating today since it was cold and raining, but it was delicious so I didn't care that I had to eat in my car. They were even nice enough to bring it to my car for me so I didn't have to go out in the rain again.

I’m from Philly and I like the roll. Donkey tails and fries are the best thing though to me anyway. The honey mustard is that creamy one like Wendy’s. Love this place and it’s near Phula Dispensary.

There are some significant weaknesses in the experience (primarily in winter), but when your fellow diners use terms like "best ever" for elements of the meal, does eating in your car matter?The sandwiches are very, very good. The meat is great (the focus of the "best ever" comment). We went for 1 with whiz and one with American, and on both I'd argue there was just too much cheese. The whiz was over the top for me. The American was fantastic.One suggestion: in this area, you should be offering Cooper Sharp as a cheese option....but I digress....The onion rings were great too.All in all...well worth the trip to Mt. Holly.Parking: Tons of parking.

A hidden treasure in downtown Mt. Holly. Only the Best steak sandwich in NJ and a totally unique flavor. You need to try a Donkey Steak! They also offer other options to choose from but the steak is the draw. You owe it to yourself to try them and know why you will always make Donkeys your go to steak sandwich. Plenty of parking and easy access in and out.

Food is delicious but takes a long time to make a cheesteak when that's their specialty.The 3 times I have been here its taken at least 20 minutes to make a cheesteak and fries with only a few people before me. Its like they can only cook 1 cheesteak at a time.Their other locations are much faster.This location is outdoor only so you can get wet, cold or hot while waiting. Usually wait in car.
