I celebrated my 17th birthday here with family and friends and it was awesome! The food was delicious and there were so many options for tea. They also accommodated for my friend who is gluten free which was very appreciated! Overall my friends and I had a great time and I recommend afternoon tea here!

Lovely little tea shop. Food was very good and the atmosphere was lovely. Hope to go agin soon.
Wheelchair accessibility: This facility did not have wheelchair accessibility. I would recommend that there be a railing along the out side steps.

So my sister absolutely called and she also left messages which were unanswered. We tried to bring our mother for a special treat as she had been dying to check it out. After rechecking the website for times we headed over. No where on the web or even out front was there any indication of a private party. We attempted to enter my mother, sister, and myself(please note the entrance is extremely small) but were met by 3 women who asked if we were attending shower so were unable to progress further when we said no. At which point my sister explained she had tried to call and was told she needed to “call on the weekends when they are open” or to “leave a message” which we tried. Then she very rudely said with a sigh” can you just let these others in” like lady the people behind us could get in if you weren’t blocking the way. How very rude of you my mother who is 78 was actually already out of the ladies way ma’am you were the problem how very disappointing. So basically you don’t answer phones or messages you are not even polite when you are wrong and no one even said “I’m sorry” kiss my a## or anything else. Thanks for that really great customer service. We try to support small business and can absolutely understand people learning the ropes and ironing out problems in the beginning but to not even have common courtesy is disgusting. At the very least someone could have said why don’t we get u set up for a reservation but no basically just get out way to go thanks for disappointing my favorite lady now she will never get to go. I will be sure to let my friends and coworkers not to waste their time or money
*only gave that one star so I could post you don’t deserve it fyi
*** Wow your response is equally rude so either you were in fact one of the ladies at the door or they have been paying great attention to their boss. Nice work. And again not even an “I’m sorry” or “how can we fix this misunderstanding?” Like I said not even having common courtesy is disgusting as are you just wow
NOT my cup of Tea and they didn't even deserve the one star I gave. They don't return calls and when I took a chance bringing my mom and sister we were rudely turned away at the door as they hosting a private event. Although, one would think if that was the case it would be posted somewhere, either on the site or even in the window maybe? Anyhoo...we won't try again, and we had a wonderful girls day anyway.
***to be clear-the sign in the window said "open" and I did NOT get a phone call back. Customer service much? I wasn't even asked my name or did I want to make a reservation for a later date. I was just asked to "move" out of the way. As someone who has lived in this town for 50 years, I try to support local. I went out of my way today to let everyone I came into contact with know how poorly run this place is.
Tea today with my daughter. You can wear any fancy hat you want with matching lace gloves. All the tea and a huge selection to choose from, with finger sandwiches, and scones and a huge array of tasty deserts. Located in downtown Mount Holly right on high street. A wonderful place to visit. And a great memory to remember. Very special!

Honestly didn’t know what we were getting into when booking our reservation for Mother’s Day. Thought we were just going to have some tea. However, we were delighted to find a fun atmosphere as we were greeted with fancy hats, bow ties, and gloves! Truly a fun place to spend a couple hours in the afternoon! The food was great, we were served quite a bit, the tea blends were good, and the music was charming. The prices weren’t bad at all, would have liked to know how much the experience would cost before we sat down but everything was very affordable!
Sue does amazing work bringing a unique experience in the heart of down town mount holly! Keep up the good work, we’ll see you again soon

What a charming little place. My sons took me for Mother’s Day, the food was good, The atmosphere was relaxing and the owner was just so sweet and friendly. They had hats and little fingerless gloves to wear as you ate if you wanted and for the men, top hats and bow ties. I’ll definitely go back and for those saying it’s expensive, it’s really not.

We had a wonderful time. Hosted my sister's 50th Birthday here and everyone loved it, even the guys. Food was great and the atmosphere wonderful. Service was awesome , we were treated like family . There were a couple other parties at rhe same time but we felt like the only group. Excellent serive and food. Can't say enough good things about the staff and our experience here at Your Cup of Tea. Looking forward to another visit.

Celebrated my friends' birthdays today at Your Cup of Tea. The staff was sooo friendly, and service was quick. Upon arrival, they lend you hats and dainty gloves to wear, which made the experience much more fun. For men, they have top hats. It wasn't crowded when we went, but be sure to make a reservation to guarantee seating anyway. We found parking right in front of it, but I believe that they have their own parking lot in the back (not sure). Not a big place, but it has nice atmosphere for afternoon tea. They offer a great selection of sandwiches (you get to select 4 as part of the afternoon tea package), scones (select 2), desserts (assorted), and, of course, tea (Twinings teabags). Everything was delicious. They sang "Happy Birthday" to my friends with cupcakes and candles to blow. They have a small area in the back for young kids to have tea, complete with a wall of small hats for them to wear. The price for afternoon tea was reasonable at $29 per person, compared to elsewhere where you can easily pay upwards of $70. We'll definitely be going back.

Nice atmosphere
I was really excited to try Your Cup of Tea! I reserved a table for me and my mom the Saturday before Mother’s Day. The tea selections were great, as were their tea sandwiches and scones. I will say, I felt pretty rushed, what was supposed to be an about and a half long tea party for me and my mom only took about 45 minutes. The owner was really involved as well, to the point of reading out loud the bill for the services. ? I really just wanted it to be a nice little surprise for my mom, and I had planned the rest of the day around this party, and was a bit surprised by how rushed I felt, to how the bill was delivered. It made me feel mistrusted as if they had assumed I would dine and dash? I’m sure that’s not the case, but it’s how I felt. Overall tea party was nice, except for the above mentioned things. I know they’ve been here for about a year, so I’m sure as time moves on things will smooth out.
Don’t waste you time on this place, arrive mid day to an empty restaurant and was turned away. Not the best business practice. It would have take me 30 minutes to have lunch.Update: the response from the business is totally inaccurate. The server told me point blank that one has to have a reservation ( to dine in an empty restaurant ) no exceptions. ?Understand I don’t live in Mt.Holly, but have noticed your shuttered restaurant while in town helping my husband with some stuff. I thought it would be nice to pop in one day when you were open.So I checked the store sign - it has your business hours list…You should probably change that to “ By Reservation Only “.Regardless - after the way I was treated, I wouldn’t go back to this establishment for anything.Shame on you!
